Incase you hadn't heard the news already, RE6 was recently announced.

Apparently both Leon and Chris will be playable in it... i just hope it's better than the big disappointment that was re5 (RE4 was awesomesauce)

I saw the trailer yesterday. I hadn't read anything about RE6, so I wasn't aware of the (already-spoiled) return of RE1/2 undead, so that made the trailer much more awesome to me. That was one of the things I hated about 4 and 5; the undead, or "infected" as they're known as now, were too... intelligent, I guess is the word? Of course, there's no telling how big of a part they will play just from the trailer, but some is better than none.

Now if only the gameplay would return to original RE style. I may be the only one, but I actually dislike the whole "third person, over the shoulder" gameplay that started with 4. =/

I like the over-the-shoulder 3rd person view, it's something different and makes playing shooters easier for me on console (most FPSes on console make me want to puke after 30 mins of playing). I hope they go back to a more horror oriented story... as an action game, it's pretty middle of the ground, though some fights in RE5 were fun in their difficulty.

After reading the description of what the logo looks like, I couldn't even figure out what the symbol was supposed to be of. It's a "6" for anyone who's wondering.

A three-minute CAPCOM Captivate 2012 event trailer for the Resident Evil 6 survival horror game began streaming on Tuesday. The video includes new character and plot details. The trailer also reveals that the game's North American and European release date of November 20, 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has been moved up to October 2, 2012.

Resident Evil 6 takes place ten years after the events in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The story begins as the President of the United States plans to reveal the truth behind the Raccoon City incident. A survivor and friend of the U.S. President, Leon S. Kennedy discovers that the President became the victim of another bioterrorism attack. The Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance Member Chris Redfield arrives in China as the country is also at risk for another attack.

CAPCOM will release its open-world fantasy game Dragon Dogma this May with a download code for a Resident Evil 6 demo. The demo will be available for download in the XBox Live Marketplace on July 3, and in the PlayStation Store on September 4 (September 3 in America).

The game is slated to ship in Japan for 7,990 yen (about US$104) on November 22. A personal computer version is also planned.

Agent hunt mode.
After finishing the game, this mode unlocks in which other players can "invade" your game and take control of enemies. This can be disabled if you want.
