I just recently discovered Christian Lorenz, a graphic designer who helped with the city scapes in alot of great movies, such as the Animatrix, The Fifth Element, The Matrix, Woflman, The Golden Compass, Final Fantasy, and the Day After Tomorrow. His concepts are unreal.

One of my favorite artists is Zdzisław Beksiński. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFC20XFwAxU)

I can easily see his work inspiring or being translated into film.

I like the surrealism Beksiński employs, definitely a great contemporary artist
