Hmm...

1. Apparently, Mest ISN'T a total ass-pull. After he got beat so fast, I thought, "Well, that was certainly anti-climactic". But that was only the beginning. Apparently, you're not supposed to remember him, cause he was probably never there before now. Probably some kind of memory magic.

2. Natsu, goes through his introspective period in about...30 seconds. Awesome!

3. I think the death wizard is actually Mavis.

Being unable to bring themselves to actually hit Wendy, those two certainly found a funny way to bring her down psychologically. She never had a chance.

WENDY IS SO CUTE!

How exactly does ducking protect you from a wave of pure death? The grass didn't seem survive that well either.

Too right. Happy's one of my favourite side-kicks of all time.

It's a wonder that Elfman could live with what he did and still say he beat her "as a man". As long as he didn't personally use the underhandedness it's alright?

(edit: oh, right, he said "I can't say... as a man". LOL)

I guess for me the most ironic part is that the strongest Gildartz was actually the easiest to pass since he was actually examining you. The weaker girls were just out to kick your butt. XD

(Master's reaction sounded as if he only just realised having participants get past Mira and Erza was near impossible)

Gray's reaction to Lucy, Cana and Natsu making it through was awesome. I really like the execution of the comedic scenes in the anime.
