Well Zoro vs Hyouzou was pretty obvious. So the ship stopped chasing Shirahoshi and is heading straight down, now?

Is this the same guy who nicked Luffy with poison way back when?

Yeah, but Luffy is immune to all poisons thanks to Magellan.

Yes i know, and i think you mean thanks to Ivankov

Well, if you want to be technical about it, both of them in a way. I think the raw exposure to that much poison gave him incredible immunity, and Ivankov stopped him from dying from said exposure.

Raw exposure to that much poison sent him to the brink of death and nothing more, Ivankov was the one that sent his body into overdrive allowing it to create antibodies and thus saving his life.

He wouldnt have developed the anti-bodies had Magellan not poisoned him. Its thanks to both.

If we're to name all parties involved i suppose we should begin with Luffy's mom, she gave birth to him thus allowing him to be poisoned >_>

Gotwoot exchanges totally worth it reading every week.
Anyways, i think i need to get a manga reader or download these chapters from now on, this action is pretty chaotic. When battles get this large its so easy to be so excited with the content that you miss subtle goings on that happen to be very important i.e the panel where zoro's swords get broken in the CP9 arc or when certain animals are sent from the WG to issue requests or info. Its hard to keep track of things like that when reading online.
Back on topic: So, now two members of Hody's crew are "awakened". I wonder if the more impressive of the two will be the swordsman. Also, its looking like Jinbei could be a potential SH crew member now. I mean he's had a flashback, they are fighting together and there isnt much left for him to really do on fishmen island. It would also be great for Jinbei and fishmen alike to have a pirate crew that is more diverse now to realize the queen's dream in atleast some small token.

Now you are just being snarky. The concept is called Mithridatism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithridatism), and that is basically what happened (in a ridiculous overblown fashion). If he had never been poisoned, he would not have gained those subsequent immunities. Similar concepts include vaccination and immunization.

And I agree with Jinbei looking more and more like a crew member. Working together with humans and atoning for his wrongs seem like a good course for him. I mean, since it seems that all the SHs have a dream, maybe that would be his (reaching out to humans in a positive way).

He is too powerful to waste but he is not crazy enough to join the crew. He would be like the old guy hanging around with young kids. He's mature and pretty much grown as much as he can. The best role that I see him playing is a liaison for fisherman island. He was already recongnised by the world government and held in high esteem by the residents of Fisherman Island. All that is left is the fine print at the world meeting thing they have all been gathering signatures for.

Sorry Archangel, I'm with the others. There could have been other circumstances where Ivankof could save Luffy (like if he was mortally wounded by a snow wolf or something), in which Ivankof's healing hormones would not have aided in granting Luffy the immunity. This was only because Luffy survived Magellan's poison.
