So the merman king dude reacted to the ship in a "as was foretold" kind of way. This is starting to look more and more like madame shirley's prediction will be happening soon.

Even though the Franky stuff was reactions, it was still "boss". Good ol' Hody "1-shot" Jones.

Good ol' Hody "1-shot" Jones.
He's durable, you've got to give him that.
Next chapter the New Merman Pirate are going to use the pills. Almost all of them with the exception of the poisonous drunken assassin has been outmatched.

Mangastream's version is pretty poorly translated. Not even worth it.
Anyway, just noticed this: http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/84387739/13
So chopper says he only needs the rumble ball for 1 form, and the other 6 he can transform at will. Assuming the other forms in the backdrop were the forms he can maintain without the rumble ball, then that means he's specifically referring to:
his deer form
his tiny form
his human form
his karate form
his big ball form
his stag beetle form
So does that mean that he went all pokemon-style and "forgot" his jumping point, horn point, arm point, etc?

The question is which form is the one still needing the rumble ball? And would that indicate that the form is even more upgraded/powerful then the others as to need a rumble ball?

Obviously it's monster point

huh? on that same page he says he's not a stag beetle, that's his upgraded horn point.
pre timeskip he only has 7 points, NOT including monster.
jump
guard
arm
horn
brain
heavy
walk
Now with that, including kung fu and monster points, 9 in total, so 6 of these don't require the rumble ball (though I thought 3 of them didn't anyways) and I doubt he actually considers Monster point to be in his arsenal. Then in the context he was saying, I doubt the karate form is one of the 6 he was referring to.

He has used the rumble ball for guard point. I'm guessing this is the form he need the rumble ball for. The monster form comes out when he uses the rumble ball 3 times in a row if I remember correctly.

Wait... wat? That can't be it, guard point was within the very same panel where he claims to be able to change into it freely
Did Oda mess up here?

I saw someone mention the Guard Point thing on another forum earlier. My first thought was "it doesn't say ball." I'm thinking that the "Rumble" in the panel was put there to indicate a sound effect. He's emitting a rumbling sound while transforming.

The text bubble is one that emphasizes a harsher tone; such as shouting and urgency. If you look at the other chapters you can see similar bubbles used as well. "Grit" is the sound effect bubble I would say. You might be onto something though, although he does have his hand to his mouth no "ball" is seen or translated. It could be he just used to to indicate he was changing to another from. It could also be he used the rumble ball to increase the size of the guard point. As for now it is all just speculation, soon all will be revealed, I guess.

I see. They linked to the SleepyFans version and "Grit" wasn't there.

tbh i don`t think the "rumble" part was a sound effect, it would be a very poor choice of sounds.

Chopper never says "ball," just "rumble" when he takes it.
Either guard point is the one he meant, he used a rumble ball there to enhance the guard point, or Oda made a mistake
Also, that picture where he says he doesnt need the rumble ball only has 4 forms in the backdrop anyways

Of course his stag beetle form won't be in the backdrop if he's already in it in the foreground.
Besides, he said himself that he didn't need rumble to use that form just before that frame anyway.
