Hard to take Lucy's fights seriously when they end with a comic note. I still can't understand why Edolas-Lucy's outfit was censored when Lucy wears this.

This has been the Gray-kicing-ass ep I've been waiting for. All the other ones haven't really hit the spot, especially when compared to how awesome they make Natsu's every time.

Talking about Natsu, lol @ taking out two guys while denying he's a monster. :D

Lucy's job generally seems to be to look hot, not kick ass. And be a joke element as the straight man. The role fits her well.

Natsu taking out the giant octopus as a byproduct was a nice scene.

I'm not really a fan of Gray's, so I didn't care much for the latter half of the episode. The first half was awesome though. A lot of nice fan service from Lucy and some comedic interaction with Virgo, who is by far my favorite Celestial Spirit. I lol'd at Coco believing that Lucy was truly a princess and Virgo asking if it was punishment time.

I'm not really a fan of Gray's, so I didn't care much for the latter half of the episode.

I think this arc showcased just how adaptable and powerful Gray's Ice Make magic is.

As a base character (design and mannerism) I've always liked him more than Natsu, but Gray suffers from his non-main-char styled power. Ice Make magic denies him the ability to keep unlocking any sleeping powers like the Dragon Slayers, and while he can pretty much make anything static he wants, their appearance don't differ enough to give us a surprise (unlike Lucy finding new keys/spirits, or Erza's armour wardrobe).

"Pumping out more power" doesn't make him any more destructive either, so his potential is really capped by the author's imagination (of the tools Gray can make, as well as the scenarios he's put into so he can use them in a cool way).
