I was actually pretty impressed. Usually it's really easy to tell the the reverse trap is a girl because she still sounds in every way like a girl. Iguchi Yuka (Yes, that means Index, Enri from Fractale, and Mizuno from Nyan Koi) surprisingly does a rather convincing younger male voice. If you didn't listen carefully, you might think two different people were playing the male and female versions of Subaru.

The humor was good too. I wasn't planning on watching this one, but I'll see how this one goes. Promising so far.

I watched the first episode but decided this is not my cup of tea. The male lead didn't impress me and honestly I'm bored of the allergic to male/female plot element that keeps resurfacing every other season. He also wasn't that interesting in other aspects either. Apparently the mother is some world class fighter and the daughter probably isn't far behind, but instead of capitalizing on that impressive genetic background the dude decides to sleep his days away. I have actually heard it straight from a Japanese person's mouth that sleeping is a valid hobby in Japan, but it doesn't easily make the best primary trait of an anime character without something else going for him (the something else being something else annoying doesn't count favourably).

The females certainly weren't anything I hadn't seen in n series before. Like I said, this show isn't for me. Dropped.

This series is really cliché and the male lead is one of those incredibly average and generic kinds that always appear in these types of shows...but it is funny as hell. It's mostly the gags, the fantasy scenes, and Suzutsuki's evil meddling. The character expressions are pretty good too.

Between the sister, the rotating BL/ecchi/yuri gags, and Suzutsuki, this series might be my lead comedy series of the season.

Ayako's translation of the first 1/3 of the episode was pretty bad. It wasn't randomly translated bad, but they screwed up the pronouns. It may seem minor, but changing the subject of a sentence can overhaul the meaning completely.

This is very unlike Ayako. I wonder if there is a staff change, or if this is some random error.

Suzutsuki is the reason I watch this show. She's just so twisted. The "mouth to mouth" line (in English of course) had me cracking up. She's the best kind of cliché rich person who just does whatever she wants for her own amusement. But she's not rotten to the core though. When Jirou collapsed again by the river, she knew she had taken things too far and offered to fix things right away.

The bath scene was funny too, particularly the part where Konoe was freaking out and attempting to communicate that her underwear was out there for Kureha to see. Luckily Kureha forgot about that completely, or ignored it because she thinks Konoe is a cross-dresser.

That, and the scene when she tried to smell the towel (particularly that she was trying to resist the temptation, her hands shaking, but doing it anyway).

But really, it's all about Suzutsuki for me.

I'm having a hard time figuring out whether Suzutsuki is serious about getting together with Jirou, or if she's just amusing herself while trying to pull Subaru and Jirou together.

This episode was hit or miss for me, largely because there was less Suzutsuki and Konoe. The former had only one short scene and even the latter only had two equally short scenes. Konoe's first one in the infirmary was great though. I'm liking that the more flustered she gets, the more her act breaks down. Her VA is doing a really good job on it. It's not all the way male mode, or all the way female mode, she eases between the two.

I can't say I'm really a fan of the new girl. She's such a typical example of a side-character tsundere. Plus, Ise Mariya (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=creator&creatorid=101) has been in pretty much half the series that have aired the past year or two. To be honest, I'm kind of getting tired of hearing her, since her voice is usually about the same in every role. Which is a stark contrast to Iguchi Yuka's Konoe, who sounds nothing like her normal roles (Index-types).

The plot is even kind of typical. Boy and Girl A are developing mutual affection, Girl A gets courage request to go some place, new Girl B appears, blackmails boy into doing the same thing, Girl A gets sad or upset.

This episode was disappointing given how well the series had been going so far. That said, I was a bit surprised how convincing Kinjirou's policewoman costume turned out to be compared to the other boys that looks like blatant cross-dressers. When Suzutsuki told them in the infirmary, the imagined costumes looked really obvious like him in drag. Can't wait to see what they force on Konoe, and I'm guessing it involves the glasses nekomimi girl.

I like that Suzutsuki is starting to reveal a few of her flaws/weaknesses (or her endless lying has gotten even better). A desire to hang out with her friends instead of her parents, her horrible naming sense, and weakness to embarrassed Subaru. I guess the last one explains why she was one of the leaders of the S4. At the same time, she found a new plaything in Usami. It was interesting that Usami didn't really fall for her bullshit. Part of that is Usami's wary, untrustful nature. She's a decent counterbalance/toy for Suzutsuki.

Konoe shined this episode too (the twinge of jealously she felt, the over-protectiveness of Kanade, rejecting her father to keep up the ruse), just not as much as Suzutsuki always does for me.

Overall good episode. Kind of hoping to keep girl subaru though.

I humbly request a second season! Hopefully it will happen if the uncensored dvds sell well enough.

I just really like the main trio (Kinjirou, Konoe and especially Suzutsuki). I wasn't fond of Usami at first, since her character type is so typical nowadays, but between her enjoyment and skill at cooking and not falling for the obvious disguise, she's grown on me a lot.

I'm a bit torn between Suzutsuki and Konoe though. Suzutsuki is hard not to like now that she's admitted she likes him, but she's willing to stay in second place and settle for teasing him so Konoe can get some. Konoe might serve Suzutsuki, but it's pretty clear that Suzutsuki thinks of Subaru as her best friend first, servant second. Even if she uses Subaru's devotion for her own amusement, they're still much closer as friends than Konoe realizes. Suzutsuki genuinely puts Subaru first. But Konoe is also great...

Ditto, girly Subaru is so cute. The scene where she slipped in Jirou's futon to cuddle is probably my favorite of the series. Too bad he messed that up, though.

Hmm... on the other hand I really don't care if this got a second season, nor will I necessarily watch it. I think by the end I had just gotten over everybody. It was one of those "generic but amusing" series for me at the beginning, but not too much is left now that the "amusing" bit has worn off. It doesn't help that Suzutski's always going to come second place.

Probably my favourite scene was the kissing one right at the end where Subaru talks with her most natural voice - neither Butler nor Punyuru mode, but a balance struck right in between.
