so. the 2nd season is here, and it starts with the 1st chapter of the manga (which
was severely missing from the 1st series). Nice to set things straight.

anyways, this season should be less filleric (the arc has had more chapters than the previous one). so i'm looking forward for it. chibi-ypukai-rikou was quite adorable... but as usual, they left out some parts that build up rikou's character as a whole.

your thoughts?

I was quite happy with this episode, Rikuo motivation to become leader in season 1 was rather vague without it.

They got a completely different director (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=4093) to work on this season too, so i have high hopes. Right off the bat, i noticed that the animation was better and they actually bothered to animate youkai Rikuo hair.

The manga up to this point was rather weak and generic, this upcoming arc was what got me really interested in the series because there were some interesting elements. It's still shounen at heart, but it certainly has it's own charm.

did they just compress an entire side story into the two minutes before the OP? that's just lame.

episode 2... I'm on a bit of a lag behind. I'm getting the feeling that they are scrimping a bit on the budget, aren't they?

Aotobu saying that he removed the necklace to fight.. when he clearly didn't. although, might be something wrong with the translation rather than the show itself.

as for Yura's fight... did they just change scenery every other scene? and what's with the music change? and why a magical girl transformation scene?
