This is the ultimate one-piece irony. Every single filler arc featured some babbling little kid, and just to slap the viewing audience in the face, the latest snot-nosed brat is none other than Luffy himself.

Looks like it gets back on track with the main story next week though.

Except Luffy is 10x more awesome as a kid than any of the filler kids.


I gotta say though, this arc has really killed any notions I used to have that Luffy was just pretending to be stupid in order to make his adventure more fun.

He really is...that stupid.

I'm not the biggest fan of this flashback arc, since the 'present' has so much going on, but I have to say it's enjoyable to watch. Even the filler eps were not boring to watch.
