I love the Storm redesign. I kinda dislike Beast's though.

I'm just glad they didn't stick with the Wolverine design they had in the Wolverine show, even if they did use the same VA (which I don't like for this role, but it's okay).

Both the Iron Man and the Wolverine came out and I heard they were both bad.

They were both animed up till they weren't really recognizable anymore.

X-Men seems pretty faithful so far, but then, they haven't added the japanese schoolgirl(who, granted, is a real X-Man character) to the cast yet.

Really hoping the series doesn't spontaneously turn into a magical high school anime thing as soon as Armor joins the school.

Iron Man wasn't nearly as bad as Wolverine. This is 10x better than both combined.

I'd like to know the answer to the first question as well (to build suspense, perhaps? His power is one-hit kill otherwise, and that would be kinda boring). I don't see why you even bothered asking the second question. Hold a knife (that you can't throw) and ride a motorcycle against your enemy. What else can you do?

What I want to know is why Storm seemingly has a limit to her powers while the others don't. Is that normal? Do the others have limits too, only that we haven't encountered them?

I've only ever seen Origins: Wolverine, so I'm kind of in the dark here. I'll probably give the movies a spin later since I have them lying around somewhere.

PS: Storm is hot, voice and all. More so in her X-men suit than the casual/swimwear too.

Same, though I did think she was pretty cool in some of the video games. I actually always liked her more than Jean though - and was always confused between Jean and Rogue.

As to Storm being weak after using her powers, I'm guessing it has something to do with the technology or whatever the "U-Men" are using to shield Prof X and the device Beast was using to detect mutants in the area. Maybe they've already gotten hold of Leech and putting up a dampening field or something.

And most my knowledge of X-Men comes from the 90s Saturday morning show on Fox, which the first 3 seasons is remarkably true to X-Men cannon.

Although technically, his eyes are actually dimensional portals to a dimension of pure kinetic energy.

Cyclops' powers are always on when his eyes are open, the goggles just prevent it from shooting, he actually has to press a button on it for it to fire, they also don't travel instantly so he can miss.
Might as well shoot rockets and lasers without having to worry about crashing.

Knowing that "That guy has eye beams and that guy regenerates and has claws" is probably not the same thing as letting their computers analyze their powers first hand.

They'll probably use the information to make their cyborgs immune to their powers, or grow some kind of supermutant that has their abilities or whatever.

I wonder if that ambiguously brown U-Man is supposed to be Forge.

I just watched the first 2 X-men movies prior to watching this latest ep, and I'm kind of disappointed at how "weak" Storm is. I understand that her power doesn't have a natural affinity for small-scale combat, but since that's all we get I just feel a bit empty knowing her powers aren't being used to their full potential.

To Directors: Add an invading army into the story so Storm could wipe them out.

I was surprised that Emma's diamond held against the Adamantium. I thought those claws were second to nothing.

On the other hand, i had actually expected perhaps Hisako's field to be able to repel it since it's not actually solid.

I second DearthEnder, pretty stupid how Emma knows that the telepath is using mind control and just decides to stand there and not really tell anyone while Wolverine goes on a rampage. Kind of like how Bleach spoiler:Ichigo just sat there and watched everyone beat the fuck out of Hinamori(highlight to read).

Yeah, thats one of the things about this series that I've noticed: the Xmen make some really...odd decisions. Another example would be leaving Prof. X by himself. Yeah, hes the most powerful telepath in the world, but someone if like Magneto or Juggernaut were to attack the school, hes pretty much screwed.

This episode was just terribly slow. The audience already knows the source of the power is Takeo. The only thing we didn't know was that she made the blocking device, she's working with U-men, and that the stuff was made with fresh mutants. Big deal.

I'd be interested to see how Beast survives this (or how he even can). His sense are high enough already, and he doesn't have any regeneration ability (or does he? I don't know).

(PS: eardrums don't burst from the sensation of a loud noise. They burst from an extreme unbalance between the pressures of the outside world and the inner ear.)

Deadpool helping people and shaking their hand? What is the world becoming? xDHe does that quite often actually. Usually once every couple years or so he joins up with the good guys during some big event only to go back to his mercenary ways after the excitement dies down.
