Synopsis(ala wikipedia):
Following his dream, "Sweet" JP becomes a racer and gains a large following because of his retro-style sense of fashion and his frequent and spectacular crashes toward the ends of his races. He gets by with money the mob pays him for losing, although he is out on bail for something possibly related to match-fixing. During a qualification race called the Yellowline, JP's engine explodes. On the verge of giving up, he learns that, by popular vote, he has qualified for the prestigious no-rules race called Redline after two other drivers dropped out. The reason behind this is that the government of Roboworld, the military planet the race is to take place on, is opposed to the race and has threatened anyone participating with death. JP participates in Redline in spite of the danger
Anyone know if any sub group is gonna pick this up? This shit looks awesome.

It's out by umee and I think there's another BD release floating around with different subs. That being said though, this is a movie you probably need to see. Think of the best racing anime you have ever seen. No, not that one, think harder... Ok, that one. This is better. By "better" I mean more stylized, probably. It plays like wacky racers on controlled substances with enough flash/gar to really sell the insanity. Highly recommended.

It's like F-Zero and Mad Max locked themselves in a hotel room, snorted an eight-ball, fucked, and this was the result nine months later.
Edit:...and that was just the first 10 minutes.
Now having finished watching it, I am at a total loss of words for how good that was. No words people, NO WORDS.

Honestly - it was 480p and I still found it much better than anything I ever seen.
God those speed lines and that 60fps animation is orgasmic. I wonder if they are going to release a 1080p version

A badass movie. The racing itself felt meaningful with well designed vehicles, the characters kicked ass (and the female characters were hot), shit got blown up nonstop, cyborg nazi soldiers as enemies, biological orbital weapon platforms... This movie had everything executed correctly. It even ended very nicely. Technical aspects and production values left nothing to be desired either.
Definitely worth watching.
Edit: Although like Inazuma said, a HD video would have been even better, not that this DVD would have suffered from lack of quality as such, but HD would have been better when watched from the bigger screen of a TV.

I wouldn't mind seeing a spin-off that focusses on lynchman and his bounty hunter stuff.

Yeah it's awesome how the engine sounds went from v10's to formula 1 to jet engine ;P.
But yeah I definitly want to see more of lynchman...running back at your car at 300+ km/h while bullets are bouncing of your chest; like a boss.

I was wondering. There is an OAV centered around Trava and Shinkai. What about the others ?
