Hmm... okay, I'm changing my guess. Danzo is.. Madara's brother?

The big guns are all shapes and sizes. I fight better break out right in the middle of their meeting so they can all show us something good. I particular, I wanna see how Gaara holds as a Kage now that his tailed beast is gone.

Ugh... it's moving so slow. The Mizukage miscommunications were brief comic relief but for the most part, very boring and unnecessary episode. It could've been a 2 minute blip at the start of the next ep.

At least it had one good scene: The camera showing the cadaver trudging forward while in the background we hear well-wishes for the trip, making me think Mist is going to send a representative who will die of old age before even reaching the borders of her own village, much less the meeting place. A traditional but well executed trick. Too bad we then got those lousy repeating jokes and the fricking joke of a loser escort ninja.

I remember when they would introduce new characters for this series that didn't have "hilarious" personality quirks...

Anyway, I wonder what the difference between Ninjas and Samurais is.

Chojuro is a type Shinjikun but don't forget he is one of the 7 swordsman. And its pritty clear the Kage's are only bringing their most elite dynamic duo's with them. I think this is the first shinobi we've seen in the cannon (idonno bout filler) that is unsure of himself even tho he must be a powerful force. Just on originality alone I like him. Not to mention his superfly design. Hard to imagine what his sword will be like under the wrap. . . . something like Zabuza's? Or something wild like Kisame's.

This was a great episode even tho it was mostly me waiting for things to happen and hope that it goes by fast. I had hoped they'd at least get to the start of the great judge Raikage's hearing. But a lot of things to take in all the Kage's are very animated in their own way and are all seem like a good amount of thought put into their character's.
Their bodyguards are pritty interesting as well; if I had to pick one I'd say Akatsuchi, the giant nose giant carrying the Tsuchikage, was the most enjoyable. And the most intriguing would have to be the guy still wearing half a mask over his eyes guarding Danzo, even tho Danzo said no masks for the Kage Summit. As well as "Ao" the one with that strange eye patch thing going on. Must be important if they haven't removed them and if they'll be forced to once they get there.

And uhh did we already know Danzo had the sharingan? I think we found out a long while back around when Sai was introduced. . .? Who cares mannnn the wait for these next episodes are killing me. Haven't been this anxious for episodes since the Sasuke rescue ark. :DDDD

Did you notice Chojuro's teeth? Look familiar? ;)
I think we are looking at another water elemental type... should he turn into a puddle any time soon, we will know the answer. Is that what you meant by Shinjikun type? Or is that some stereotype?

I hope Naruto gets to fight a bit next episode. The Raikage seems to have a violent type of personality, so it could be interesting. I always assumed Danzo had a Sharingan hidden under those bandages. I don't think it is his though: he mentioned having a relationship with Orochimaru so I would assume he had his eye implanted much like Kakashi (likely a test to see if it was a viable option). It would also explain why he keeps the eye covered all the time, much like Kakashi. If it were his Sharingan, he could simply disable it to hide the ability.

I don't think so. This is the first time I remember seeing it.

If it were his Sharingan, he could simply disable it to hide the ability.

If it was his Sharingan, he'd have two. Orochimaru implanting the sharingan into him is an interesting idea. I'm not sure I buy it though, since you'd think he'd extract it as soon as it worked. Even if it's subpar to taking over an Uchiha, the transplant would definitely be worth it to learn jutsus in the meanwhile anyway.

Is that what you meant by Shinjikun type? Or is that some stereotype? I think he's referring to Ikari Shinji from Evangelion and his "I'm never sure of myself" type.

man, i actually went though the hassle of watching the naruto-anime again, since filler were over...but what´s with the crappy animation of these last 3 episodes? You´d think the studio would make the first (double) episode something more special. Guess they´ll waste their budget on...well, I guess that´d be spoilers. sigh

Really? when was that?

Episode 1 = Hyperactive demon prankster Obsessive Inner-Sakura'd Sakura, A perverted Teacher with a hidden face who was perpetually late, and a closet pervert training the hokage's son, who makes nude jutsu.

Or did you mean the second arc? With the always-chomping chouji, a lazy supersmart underachiever, GAI AND ROCK LEE?

what the hell anime have you been watching? stop looking for things to hate lol

Really? when was that? All the villains. But you're right, it was always bad.

I'm just saying, they could go 3 seconds after introducing a character before showing us that character's cliched quirky personality defect and running them through the patented Shounen character process.

Step 1. Here is a new character
Step 2. As soon as that character speaks, reveal how they are zany.
Step 3. Have said zaniness manifest in every scene the character appears in until it's no longer amusing.
Step 4. Have said quirk until it takes over every aspect of the character and extreme flanderization sets in, and the character is nothing more than a personification of that joke.

But then they'd either be boring or assholes.
