After the death of her father, Kate Reed decides to change her profession from lawyer to mediator.

I'm about 10 minutes into the first episode. The name of the show caught my eye on Hulu (http://www.hulu.com/watch/208930/fairly-legal-pilot) so I idley decided to click, not hoping for much. It started off with a couple in bed too, which is how Grey's Anatomy started, so I wasn't hoping for much even more.

But after just a few minutes I noticed how strong, snarky, and beautiful the female lead is, and I couldn't help but be reminded of the heroines in my favorite Urban Fantasy novels.

There's some damn good law shows out there.

*spoiler* Within the first five minutes she's negotiating a robbery. The direction in that scene was amazing. Reminds me of Eli Stone, but even that started going "no where" after and monster-of-the-week for a while. I love the heroine's negotiating skills. This show's got some top-notch writing. Now my hopes for this show are nothing but high.

Just watched the first two episodes, and enjoyed them. Nice to see the chick from Life working again. Her legs got big after her pregnancy; I remember her having some nice ones on Life.

What an awesome show that was.

Show has a good supporting cast though, but kinda sad seeing Ethan Embry in this role. Last time I saw him was on the Showtime show Brotherhood, and he had an awesome role there.
