Boring, horrible, tropey anime with obvious humor.

It started off good, and then just went downhill 30 seconds later when he ran in front of the car and his clothes just MAGICALLY flew off. The chick with brown hair is not only disgustingly obnoxious but completely incompetent, so I can't see how she's likable in any way other than due to some twisted sexual fetish. She cuts a dude in half (ruthlessly murdering him, had he been a human) and has the gall to scream at him when he asks for help. Her fox tooth is annoying too.

One top of that these characters looked like they were ripped off of Angel Beats and the chick in armor is clearly a ripoff of every silent gray haired character in anime (how many can you name off the top of your head?).

Dropped after 3/4 of an episode.

I didn't think I'd like Haru as much though, given her general spunkiness and fangs. Losing her power did a lot in the process though. Now she makes egg bento instead of zombie salad. :)

Yuu's character development was unexpected by me, but not at all unwelcome.

So far, I'd say Sera is the least likeable of them all, but not in the hate book by far. Depends on how much more she abuses the guy actually. I gave Haru an episode, after all.

He didn't even have to use Masou Shoujo mode on her. Zombies really do kick ass. I wasn't quite so sure at first, but an arm thrown at 60km/hr really should knock you around a bit. :p

I took the first quote to mean he'll stay immortal forever, while the second one's more difficult to interpret. The note mentioned "fate" - and adding up everything that's happened so far, seems to suggest that she thinks he'll have to clean up all her mess when weird things happen due to her fluctuating emotions.

Cute uniform + dead serious face was pretty cool. I could do with these cross-dressing transformations.

Second quote: She actually said that his fate changes the most depending on her emotions. I think this is because he is her zombie and the closest person to her. Obviously, his life would be the most directly and deeply affected.

I really like the burden Deathscythe carries. Too bad it was explained in such a rushed fashion. Her sobbing was also a bit too much, and showed a giant gap from her usual cool self. It would have been better if the crying outburst started with a few tears, and only went full blast after our masou shoujo's manly declaration.

It made it quite clear why she slapped Haruna earlier. The simplest words hold immense power when Yuu speaks them. I've always liked the premise that words themselves have a kind of power, and she fits that rather well.

Ayumu delivering the beatdown was nicely delivered too. He stole her magic, then went after her spare lives. You could hear her screaming just slightly over the background music, leaving exactly he was doing to her up to our imaginations. It ended nicely with Ayumu remaining loyal to Yuu by not taking her final life, knowing that she would be the most disappointed if he didn't treat life with the same respect that she does.

As for the teacher, it was surprising that she is that much more powerful than her students. She probably isn't that far off from Yuu's strength.

The annoying thing about her was her twisted sense of right and wrong. She may have powers as close to Yuu as we may ever see, but her respect of the lives of non-students is non-existent. I'm less pissed off at her being what she is than her being the Dai-sensei that Haruno respects. She doesn't deserve it.

As for her being "that much more powerful than her students", I think it's likely that Haruna and that other girl are nowhere near her top students. It's statistically slim.

I also noticed a glint of red in Ayumu's eyes before, but don't remember Sera ever sharing some of her blood with him.

It's not like I dislike the development. They just delivered it very badly, but I guess that is expected since this show is mostly a gag comedy.

Masou is written in Japanese as 魔装. 魔 (ma) means evil, but it is also the first kanji for mahou (魔法), which means magic (the one used for mahou shoujo, meaning magical girls). 装 (sou) means clothing. In that context, I'm pretty sure Masou Shoujo means something like "Magically Clothed Girl" or "Magical Clothes Girl".

This makes sense since Masou Shoujo clothes disappear when their magic is lost.

Loosely translated, this can also mean "a girl who is dressed like a mahou shoujo", which points more to Ayumu and his cross dressing ways.

Another possible interpretation would be "Magical equipment girl" because 装 (sou) is more commonly used in the words 装置 (souchi) or 装備 (soubi) which both mean equipment. This also makes sense since they are able to transform using their equipment (e.g. chainsaw, katana)

Regarding Yuu, you have to remember she had all her seals on for the "fight" that was mostly being passive, transforming into a masoushoujo without using said powers... and then just speaking her words of doom.
In a way, it's like if she was buying some time for the others to come up with something instead of her finishing the job.
Also, did she collapse from the attack, or from the pain she had inflicting death? I guess the explosion is the obvious answer. Do you think she whished to die, after all she's so powerful it's a little strange she remained passive and wait for an attack to come without trying something.

I don't think so. She's explained that her powers work even if she's dead, and seems to have to will to endure her life so as to not leave the power uncontrolled. She seems pretty keen on staying alive. I think she was more just shocked at the other girl's extreme measures.

I guess in a deeper analytical sense, it kind of refers to a hot issue in today's medical-legal world whether patients should have a choice to die or not.

Hell, in my opinion, if someone wants to die and you can obviously tell that they're serious about it and that there doesn't exist enough hope in the future to save them, respect their wishes and let them die. More of the time and effort trying to save those wanting to die is much better spent on others who continue to live their lives (like Ayumu).

That was the whole point of this episode. Yuu, having the power to control death, cherishes life immensely. That's why she saves people in the first place, heals them by taking on the pain of their injuries, and makes herself suffer to prevent others from getting hurt in the first place. It was the absolute last thing she wanted to do, and the only thing that he wanted her to do.

I don't know if you can bring the whole living-will issue into it, because they're not really the same thing.

Her mere existence draws megalo to her, her death doesn't mean her magic stops, and so on.

It's just that her words are equally powerful. She rebuked Haruka earlier when she was telling Ayumu to die because as we saw later, when Yuu says such weighty words, they actually do that. Not speaking also helps her keep her emotions in check, which stabilizes her power (same as the armor does). Her getting emotionally upset is more of an issue than anything. That doll transformed and nearly crushed Haruka just because Yuu got upset about the thought of her friends being threatened.

It's not Yuu's words that have power, everything about Yuu has power. In this episode, Ayumu told her it didn't matter, that he didn't care she brings trouble (nor do Haruka and Sera care), they'd just deal with it as it comes. Yuu cares a great deal about others, and doesn't want to trouble them, so she goes through all these steps to dampen and control her power.

Ayumu being so accepting of her is what made Yuu happy enough, relieved, and comfortable enough to relax and speak.

They used leotards with very specific color shades appropriately colored sashes. The one Ayumu was wearing is the polo shirt style one worn by the youngest sister (she has a more boyish haircut than the other two). Sera is wearing Hitomi's colors (the middle sister and main character), and Yuu is wearing Rui's (the eldest sister).

The animation where they drop down and run across the courtyard is identical to the animation of the series (possibly the first episode), particularly the way they are running.

I also guarantee you that the guest VA for Yuu during that segment is one of the girls (probably Hitomi's VA, it doesn't sound like Rui's VA).

In terms of uniform I think I like her and Tomonori's frilly clothes the best, but Sera will always have a spot no matter what she does.

Kinda strange that Tomonori's working at the opposing fraction's restaurant. Perhaps even stranger still is that Saras' own fraction is allowed to open up a maid cafe despite being the ones who were resistant to change.

Given how straight-laced Sera is, and how authoritarian Saras was introduced as, I'm highly amused at how weird and perverted Saras has gotten, to Sera's dismay. Her obsession with Ayumu in general, and her fancy for costumes. In the first season, Sera made the implication that Tomonori's faction were the weirdos while Sera's was the traditionalists, but it seems more and more like Sera is the odd one out in her both clans. All the vampire ninjas are enjoying themselves except Sera.
