As Christmas is coming, i'm busy preparing the gifts to my famillies and friends, i'm planning to buy a wallet for my dad, and a lipstick for my mom, but i did not decide what to buy for my brother yet, considering about he is a big fan of One Piece, i'm thinking of buying a set of One Piece figures to him, i checked on the internet, and find 2 different sets, here they are:
***
I don't know a One piece fan would prefer which set as i don't quite like it, could you please kindly tell me which set would you choose? I want to keep it as a surprise to him.
Thanks in advance.

I'll definitely stay away from the 5 pcs.

These are a little bit pricier but not too bad...

http://www.amazon.com/One-Piece-Grandline-Men-PVC/dp/B003Y7RSAQ/ref=pd_sbs_t_9
http://www.amazon.com/Piece-Grandline-Monkey-Luffy-Figure/dp/B0049PPGHO/ref=pd_sbs_t_3
http://www.amazon.com/Piece-Grandline-Eustass-Captain-Figure/dp/B0049PPWV4/ref=pd_sim_dbs_t_3

And if the craps table treats you good then...

http://www.amazon.com/One-Piece-Bartholomew-Excellent-NEO-DX/dp/B002K74NRW/ref=pd_sbs_t_18

But yeah, the 5 pcs won't be bringing you any praises...

That is one nice looking Kuma model... Out of the cheaper ones I would prefer this Mihawk: http://www.amazon.com/One-Piece-Grandline-Men-PVC/dp/B003L8T78E/ref=pd_sim_dbs_t_4

i checked on the internet, and find 2 different sets, here they are:
http://www.tinydeal.com/6pcs-cute-one-piece-figure-collection-model-set-pxa5dl-p-12353.html
and http://www.tinydeal.com/5-pcs-cute-one-piece-figure-pvc-collection-model-toy-set-pxa5dl-p-11199.html
.

The first set doesn't seem to be an original WFC set, but they are selling them as if they are. The characters aren't well planted on their bases, which makes me doubt they are legal.

The 2nd set is definitely fake. Sanji is bended to the back to much.

I think its a bit late to buy something on the internet unless you are willing to pay for an EXPENSIVE shipment so the item arrives on time.

If you want original stuff, I suggest looking through this sites:

www.play-asia.com

The newly released MG Luffy might be nice, although it is a model kit that needs to be built.
The newly released Going Merry model kit will be a treat too, but again, you need to build it.
If model kits are not your thing, the sites mentioned above have some awesome figures of many One Piece characters.

What's your price range?

It's more about your own price range since this is a bot trying to advertise this "tinydeal" site.

Oh? Didn't see that coming.

Then i don't understand, only because i posted the link of TinyDeal, i'm a bot of advertisement?

No, more because of multiple details:

First post of the new member containing links to a single commercial site
Generic looking extra information in the said first post
No response posted to the serious answers by other members
My general pessimism after years of fighting bots
(One other detail provided by my mod powers that made me suspicious)

Btw, the fact you only responded to my post instead of all those who used their time to give you advice and suggestions almost convinced me you are, in fact, human. After all, only humans would be capable of such short-sighted impoliteness and shows of indignation...

Thank you so much for your earnest reply. You are right, it is already a little bit too late to buy a Christmas gift on Internet, so i decided to buy it on a local store.

I may be possible. That range will buy you trading figures (no more than 10cm in height, and may not have the same build quality as scaled figures) if the store has them and as long as they don't set their markup too high.

Good luck.

Thank you, Buffalobiian.
I finally bought a set from a store for about $30, a little bit more expensive than i expected, but it looks nice and cool, my brother loves it.
Merry Christmas.

Well, I too would suggest you to get the ones from Amazon as humpburger has suggested here. They are of top notch quality and even if they are a little bit costly, I am sure you won’t regret paying for it as the toy will last a long time!
