naruto is dumb beyond believe. awesome job, kishimoto.
also, how bad is kishimoto´s writing. he has kabuto explicitly saying that he changed his goal because the situation was impossible to overcome. yeah, we got that, you didnt have to point it out anymore.

and megalol, anyone else expect madara to get a third eye on his forehead?

Actually I don't think Naruto is dumb at all. That's a clone they are dealing with when the world turned upside down and Naruto is going to be there to save Yama, if he's not already there collecting intelligence.

What a boring chapter, it's not like anyone cares what happens to Yamato.

And damn, just when you start liking Naruto as a character he pulls something like this. If you're gonna make a retard for your main character at least make him badass enough to compensate for it, Goku style.

I liked the chapter, since it gave importance to other characters. I hope Yamato's character gets fleshed out more in the following arc.

Though it was kind of odd that Kabuto mentioned Aoba, as if he's really some skilled ninja worth mentioning. I hope that is the case, since I'm pretty tired of the super-hero stuff and really want to see what kind of jutsu's Konoha really has.

I think Kishi is building up Aoba as the next person to get killed.
as far as I remember, this is the first time Aoba's got mentioned by an enemy, and got to fight against a named villain.

poor Aoba, I liked him.

Both of the Aoba mentions are very odd. Keep in mind that the entire plot of Naruto was actually Aoba's fault for accidentally informing Sasuke about Itachi's arrival in the village. Aoba also drove off Hidan and Kakuzu once. Now Kabuto is namedropping him like he is somebody, and Aoba himself mentions that he has "fallen far"? Is that a mistranslation or some really awkward and weird foreshadowing?

Aoba's favorite phrase is "Just as I planned".

Maybe he is really Aizen in disguise. He is pretty skilled.

I'm not next to my main computer right now, but the first appearance of Aoba I remember is fighting during the Sand\sound invasion (around chapter 120), maybe Aoba belonged to the hokage's personal guard?

or maybe he and Kabuto know each other because Kabuto was his 'student' during the time he was a spy? that doesn't sound likely to me, seeing as Kabuto's entire team were spies, and that's not something you can hide from the teacher. Perhaps it's going to be revealed that Aoba is person who took in Kabuto as an orphan spy?

I'm guessing hokage personal guard. or something, maybe also a former super anbu.

He was probably ANBU. He sat in on the meeting of Jounin about Orochimaru during the Chuunin exam break.
