I wasn't initially that interested in this as the other Seitokai a couple of seasons ago started to get a bit stale towards the end and thus I was predisposed to wonder what a new, very similar series could bring onto the table. It's still largely an open question but at least I found this one immediately more energetic and exciting than the older one - even if more straight-forward as well (some of the girls being quite perverted). The dude, however, is the complete opposite since he was dragged in.

I think I'll keep watching this for the time being as especially the president girl has antics that greatly amuse me. I also hope this series will feature a bit more outside of the council room than the older series.

Ryuumaru's subs are stable stuff that gets the job done. I watched Daimaou from them as well and have no complaints.

Agreed, the other Seitokai show kept tripping all over itself by mixing drama and comedy in a way i didn't think worked at all. This one however knows exactly what it is and what its public wants and does a great job meeting their expectations.

I didn't feel Ryuumaru was really up to the job though, a couple of the jokes were confusing and lost in the translation

I stopped watching the other Seitokai anime after a few minutes because I hated it immediately.

This, on the other hand, I liked immediately. I love the color usage and camera angles, rather refreshing after having to watch the quality from Amagami SS. This has the potential to be better than Kaichou.

For some reason it was hilarious to me that the boys on the subway had to keep their hands at the ceiling, lest anyone be molested. I don't know why, but I decided to watch the lackluster OP and I could have SWORN I saw a gigantic vibrating dildo. Looking forward to some slightly perverse hilarity, if it can manage to keep my attention.

I'll give the 2nd ep a go, but if it plays out the same as this one, I'll very likely drop it.

While I didn't dislike it, I definitely prefer the comedy of the previous Seitokai show. I also liked how the protagonist was quite unique and assertive.

This show has better art, but I think it is aiming for a different type of comedy. Instead of references and parodies, they have perverted jokes and lines. I am not fond of some of the outright dirty comments, but some of the jokes made me chuckle so I'm fine with it.

I didn't have any problems with the beginning of Seitokai no Ichizon and liked it well enough but somehow it couldn't carry itself all the way till the end. Maybe there just wasn't enough potential material in such a limited setting or maybe it was ruined by mixing in serious stuff into the basically comedic core.

Nothing says this show will fare any better; only time will tell. However, since it was more light and goofy (I judge the perverted elements such), it might avoid some of the problems.

I had a decent amount of fun with this one. I liked that the president kept thinking the worst of the guy in terms of perversion while he seemed to be pretty unobtrusive and interested in keeping his head down and going with the flow.

The other Secretary seems like she could potentially be a lot of fun for me but she didn't show off her personal quirks too much in this ep. The treasurer (since when does anyone call this position on student council accountant?) seemed like a text book inferiority complex loli which isn't my bag so I mostly ignored her.

When I watched that second episode, I couldn't help but wonder if it was really by Ayako and not by some scoundrel using their name. It was well below the level of quality Ayako finally reached after their struggling beginning years ago. Something must have happened to that group - something sad.

Anyway, despite the first episode hinting already so not so subtly, this episode still managed to surprise me: The perverted undertones (well, they weren't really undertones much of the time but the prominent features) were in every bloody scene. I somehow thought they were just a part of the theme, not all of it. Not that I'd be complaining as long as they work - and they showed no signs of not working in this ep.

Every named female character getting a bit more screentime in this show is perverted... Or maybe the loli isn't, but then again, she doesn't usually get that kind of scenes anyway. Some good and topical scenes in ep 5, like the teacher whispering the moans and the whole loli picture reference (where Ayako had no doubt added a bit of their own grudges).

Tsuda's sister is also funny. It's not an easy life for him, neither at home or school.

This series still continues to amuse me. In that sense it has already outlived the other Seitokai. The fact only half of the scenes are located in the council room, the other half being everywhere else, is a significant matter. Plus the fact there are other recurring characters in addition to the core ones.

And I guess I don't mind the perverted jokes, rather, I like them. Each and every scene ends in one, after all.

This series has no nonecchi female characters with the sole exception of the judo captain, who is, then, extremely innocent. So, when the maid appeared on the screen for the first time, I knew what to expect.

I wonder what was the relevance of the last scene of Shino asking Takatoshi to escort her. I don't believe they are going to have any relationships in this completely episodic show.

Ah, yeah. I of course meant to mention Suzu as well but she was so central it slipped my mind. It's like she's there so that they could regularly have some other jokes as well. And so she gets consistently shortness related ones. She's not really innocent, though, and how could she be spending so much time with those two other girls... But it's true she's more like Takatoshi, rejecting the crazy ideas and notions.

Yeah, it was indeed clearly shown for a show like this. This is so purely scene by scene constructed comedy that I find it quite surprising they introduced an element like that, which, it seems to me, doesn't have so much to do with comedy and that persisted from episode to episode. But then again, in this episode it did contribute to comedy as well, granting the opportunity to give Tsuda another vibrating present. Perhaps I judged it too harshly.

Haha, I loved the end of this episode. Tsuda was so excited to receive a present from the real Santa, and then all of a sudden you hear *buzzzzz*. That scene made me lol.

Kotomi would fit in very nicely with the rest of the SYD, if she decides to join them on a more permanent basis next year. She's just as perverted as Shino. Aria, and Naruko, maybe even more so.

I liked the scene where she said Takatoshi's dick is of good size and the rest of the council were instantly interested. Quite a contrast to what would have happened in any normal series. Yeah, she's definitely student council material.

Original anime DVDs to ship in November & April, with another project planned next July

This year's 34th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Tozen Ujiie's Seitokai Yakuindomo slice-of-life comedy manga will bundle two more original anime DVDs. The next original anime DVD will ship with the limited edition of the sixth manga volume on November 17, followed by another one next April. The magazine also indicates that the seventh manga volume will have "some kind of enjoyable project" planned next July.

Japanese publisher Kodansha began streaming the 81-second promotional video for the limited edition of Tozen Ujiie's seventh Seitokai Yakuindomo manga volume, which will bundle an anime DVD.

The DVD will include the third original anime episode produced after the 2010 television anime series. The original manga follows a former all-girls school's student council which has three female members and one sole male representative.

Director Hiromitsu Kanazawa, head writer Makoto Nakamura, character designer and chief animation director Makoto Furuta, musical composer Yūya Mori, music production company Starchild Records, and anime studio GoHands are all returning from the previous anime projects. Similarly, Shintarō Asanuma (Takatoshi Tsuda), Yōko Hikasa (Shino Amakusa), Satomi Satou (Aria Shichijou), Sayuri Yahagi (Suzu Hagimura), and the rest of the main cast are reprising their respective roles.

The manga/DVD bundle will ship on July 17.

As entertaining as these continue to be, which is quite remarkable in itself considering nothing has changed since the beginning, I still sometimes wish a scene would surprise by Tsuda not immediately performing the straight man act to finish the joke. Of course this is a show that can't have any special development and the roles are set in stone, but still.
