Blackbeard seems like an interesting person after all. I thought he was nothing but a ruffian but clearly he has a solid plan and he doesn't waste time getting there nor let unnecessary distractions delay him. Great many pirate mofos apparently dream of becoming a Shichibukai but for Blackbeard it was nothing but one step in a bigger plan, apparently, discarded without a second thought.

Seems foreshadowing of an upgrade for Chopper.

I figured Chopper's Giant Monster form was Awakened.

if "awakened" is actually a thing it doesn't seem very useful. If those are really just people who ate zoan fruits, being "awakened" seems to make them much dumber, since they don't even seem to be able to speak.

I`m guessing Chopper`s awakened form is that thing he does when he eats too many of those pills?

Chopper awakening is more pure then those guards as they are calmer and i think they are slightly smaller, and they use weapons while Chopper is pure rage and self destructive and has time limit.

Chopper's monster form is slower, possibly stronger, way less controlled, and ultimately kills him. I don't see how these compare.

Besides, "awakened" zoan states seem to resemble more of a humanoid animal. Shouldn't chopper look more like an animoid human? Like a centaur perhaps?

Those guys clearly mastered their form, chopper has not, chopper also needs to "artifically" activate it, he is also a reindeer, all of these can be factor as to why he is rather different.

Imagine monster chopper roughly the same size as the demon guards, can you really not see the resemblance?

Maybe Chopper's "mode" is so different because its a "forced awakening" or whatever, since he needs to take the pills to make it happen, that might also explain why it could kill him and why he acts out of rage, if his body/mind isnt ready for it, it probably causes a great deal of stress/damage to it.

Or his "mode" has no relation to awakening at all, who knows :P
