Is anyone else getting this problem?

It's not anything problematic but how the icons remain there is quite annoying

Glide your mouse over them and see if all but one of them disappear.

That should only happen if previous sessions of directvobsub crashed. It happens to me in Vista now and then.

That happens for me too. I'm using XP.
I assumed Archie meant that it happens after previous sessions.

Same here.
Either disable the icon in the directvosub config, or do not pay attention to it ;)
my guess is that it happens for each new chapter in a mkv because of the force loading directvobsub in the matroska settings.
Not sure about that one though.
I've had this glitch for a long time too, on 3 different OSes

How do you disable the icon? I've been to directvobsub's setting but i can't find the appropriate option

My mistake, I thought the option was there.
I don't know if a future release is planned, as MPC-HC uses its own internal decoder for subtitles and should switch to ffdshow for filters in the futures.
I guess vsfilter/directvobsub might remain as it is, with that bug.
in mpc-hc you can force or block a filter. MPC-HC differentiates the auto-loading version from the normal one for directvobsub/vsfilter. Maybe by blocking one and allowing the other one could cure the problem. But that's only a strange idea I just had.
If you're using Haali/matroska, I wonder what results you get by putting the option for directvobsub from yes to no.

If you've allowed other icons to be hidden in your tray, then you can always set the directvobsub icon as "always hide".
It's still there, but you won't see it. :p
