is Tousen a gentle soul or a raging asshole? and the play on the "I can see now, show me your face" is probably one of the oldest tricks in the book, and to say it seconds after telling Komura he's buttfaced ugly? does kubo even try?

I can't wait for Aizen and Gin delightful self-contradicting back stories. That is after a few weeks of switching to more random battles and Ichigo getting his ass kick around a few times.

Anyway dont really know what to say about this chapter :( It was good ish. Dont get what happend with Tousen (did he explode or?), and Hirako blew it ofc dident exepct anything else since Aizen is all knowing and all powerful *sigh*

With the end and the mega tease of Ichigo returning i expect next chapters t be Kenpachi and Byakuga wrapping up the fight with Yami ........

I scratched my head on that one too. The sensible thing to do would be just to slice Aizen to ribbons, or better yet decapitate him...NOT EXPLAIN EXACTLY HOW YOUR FRIGGIN POWERS WORK!!1 Gosh, Kubo...I am at a total loss for words.

But there's like 80 years of good guy/bad guy dynamics that Kubo has to live up to. How many times has a Bond villain revealed his plan only to have Bond escape? He's gotta gloat, he's a little prick AND he's certain he's won. It's also worth mentioning he hasn't released his mask, (I hope his resurrection can heal too). Mostly, we have to be explained what's going on... it just comes off most naturally as gloating to Aizen. That aside, I totally agree, fuck him up and THEN gloat....

That is true. I didnt forget but for his shikai to get overwhelmed so quick that was a bit disappointing. I mean he was Aizen's captain and always had a suspicion about him...and he even was the first it looked like to break through Aizen's shikai.

Boy, oh boy. So Tousen effectively gets a free pass to forgiveness for acting like a prick, and Shinji tried, but failed, to look cool.
