How are the 2 getting along these days? Is AonE still alive?

Sure AonE is alive and subbing. Their torrents are still hosted by Gotwoot even though nobody from there is anymore posting release updates on the front page.

It's still not totally up to date though, so for joint projects, you're better off checking other groups' release notices.

I'm curious to know what sort of connection gotwoot and Aone had in the very beginning.

Well, Complich used to be an AonE member. If you watch some old AonE shows, you might catch his name among the credits. Even after Complich quit in favor of concentrating on statistics Gotwoot remained an AonE tracker.

Less official, but more up to date. Besides, not all releases by Aone use Gotwoot's tracker, so camping that page mightn't get you every show you're after.

I think it would be cool if new releases hit the front page again. At lease there'd be regular news posts again. plus I downloaded a lot more anime when links were right there.

For some reason, I still leave my bookmark set to the front page even though I only come for the forums (and the occasional Aone release in the past), as if I'm obliged to check.
