My exact thoughts as well. I actually started to like her character at that point, finally. Not that she would have been a bad character technically before, just not my type.

Other than that Luffy can certainly be a troublesome and unlikely yet still fruitful partner for serious discussions. But luck is something that he will continue to need until he finds his way to his crew once again. He's not quite of the type to lead a solitary life.

I had a theory that Marigold and Sonia looked so weird because they didn't eat the whole Snake Snake Fruit - maybe they couldn't return 100 % to normal or something like that (for example, Sonia's tongue always looks like a snake's). Well, seeing the flashback made me half-discard this theory - seems like Sonia always looked weird. :p

They didn't share a fruit. Sonia ate the anaconda snake fruit and Mari ate the king cobra snake fruit. Its impossible for two people to have the same fruit ability.

I believe this has only really been addressed in an interview with Oda. Supposedly it only takes one bite to completely inherit the fruit's ability, and the fruit becomes useless after that one bite too.
