And Sasuke kills the Samurai just because of the heck of it. His hatred is definitely consuming him and is no way to redeem himself.

Zetsu can't have died that easily. And his other half is still out there.

I really wanted to see more of Tobi though.

I still want to know what Jutsu Madara is using. Maybe it is just a substitution/projection of self thing? Cant wait to see Gaara step in a break up the fight. And what was with the thing behind Sasuke, looked like the Kyubi.

I've got a strong feeling Madara did that "hypnotic" thingie on Sasuke as well. Probably during his little Itachi speech. The way he's curious about how Naruto made Nagato betray him sounds like he's actually curious about how he "canceled" his jutsu or whatever. And with Sasuke's new "more evil than 2nd curse seal" (which sounds like total crap btw), it makes sense to me. He looks out of character.

I think it's the dark half of Zetsu possessing Sasuke. The light Zetsu dying seems like a throw away. Maybe Zetsu is the leader of Akatsuki after all or at least equal to Madara.

I was thinking about that. We know the Kyubi was split in two when the Fourth sealed it and that the Yang half of the chakra was put into Naruto and the Yin half sealed with the Dead Demon Consuming Seal techcnique. Is it possible that Madara had Pain with his revival ability get this chakra back and put it into Sasuke. Since I assume for Gedo Mazo to be complete they need all of the chakra from each of the tailed beasts.

This would also give Sasuke a much needed power boost to compete with Sage Naruto as well as continue the idea of Sasuke being Naruto's rival/opposite.

Yeah, I think its definitely Zetsu, especially given the spiky things coming up all around it and Sasuke. Sasuke has been a tool for them this whole time, so they are obviously causing him to kill the samurai in order to cause even further hatred for Sasuke.

ohhh, zetsu possessing Sasuke. thats a good call, i hadn't thought of that until i read y'all's posts.

so when Sasuke deflected the samurai thing, was that him using the sharingan to copy their technique? thats how i saw it. if it is, thats like the first time we've seen the sharingan used in the way it was originally introduced, since like, the chuunin exams when sasuke used it to copy Lee.

The coldest person in this chapter has got to be Raikage.

Snapping Zetsu neck just like a twig. LOL he was trying to pull a Jedi mind trick, "Lets find Sasuke"... then snap... haha

What ever that Sasuke has planned, (to kill just Danzo or everyone helping him or just everyone), it seems like he will have to go thru Raikage first. Lightning village is confirmed to yet again be full of dumb people. For the final time, you have got to know, if u can sense chakra that your killabee is alive.

The samurai seemed like the clones from Star Wars... even the mask.

they would be more like stormtroopers (the original clones) which are based off of samurai.. so i guess it makes sense.

but i still say they're closer to the cops in Jin-Roh.

Awesome chapter! Favorite part was when Raikage crushes through the floor to get to Sasuke is in automatic battle mode all in one shoot. This fight coming up is gonna be bananas I hope. I can't wait to see what the Raikages bodyguards are made of...they look formidable. Madara is definitely keeping Naruto and co busy with Sasuke being right around the corner. I want Sasuke to kill the Raikage. Then he really won't be able to redeem himself and he will become evil for real. I know Sasuke is probably Kishi favorite character and he could be setting him up for redemption...which would be nice, but I wanna see Naruto and Sasuke fight to the death like the main character and Jowy from Suikoden II (its not gonna happen though)

I think it's Sasuke's new and awesome true form, and rather than just a mind control thing.
the design looks a lot like a 'main character transformation', so I don't he'll waste the design. especially after the 'evil duck' shit.

@ pandanice: Yeah he is. Or he's dropping the ball as the boss of his writers and artists. Because right under one of those pics, he has a scar again.

I'm also thinking that the black Zetsu is controlling him through orders from madara. Remember in the last chapter, Madara he told Zetsu to "begin". This could be part of his plan to start to fuck with with Sasuke and make him his. Plus, I actually think that Zetsu does have quite a few powers other than being a plant ninja and being to merge with wood. He's been a spy way too long and hasn't shown anything. This might be the time when Kishi gets creative with him.

My brother told me something that made me think. I mean when Sasuke is killing Juugo seems to recognize the chakra. And remember when Juugo give Sasuke a large proportion of curse seal "flesh" when he was dying thanks to Killerbee? It could be that the chakra from that is going out of control or something related to the true origin of the Curse Seal. We all know Juugo was the source of the enzyme that made it possible. So the true origin could be a demon of some sort. But what if, and I am saying what if. Juugo was just a container for the curse seal and it could not manifest the way it should. Thus resulting in the curse seal level 1 and 2.

All just speculating now though.

We all know how the First Hokage defeated Mandara. Maybe Yamoto's ability to use the Wood-juitsu's allows him to trap and hold onto Tobi/Mandara.

It seems to me that Madara's visit is trying to keep Naruto away from Sasuke while he's setting up his Nefarious plan. Also doing some info gathering. He probably thinks that Naruto is the only one who could snap Sasuke out of his Murderous depression like he did with Pain.

I wonder when Kabuto is going to make an appearance again. I always liked his character, Evil, Intelligent and a little Crazy.

I was leaning towards the crazy silhouette being black zetsu as well. Maybe by severing the white zetsu, black zetsu is able to channel into another person as a substitue.

Only thing though, it seems really stupid for this blood lust to come from anywhere other than Sasuke's own hatred or heritage.

He also seems to have huge weights on his wrists as well. Maybe his Taijuitsu ability will increase when he takes those off. Which reminds me, there needs to be more Rock Lee love.

Why does Madara refer to himself in that way?

They seriously said the name Uchiha Madara like at least 3 times in one page. It makes it look so suspicious when Madara himself is like, "blah blah blah you can't touch ME, Uchiha Madara" and Kakashi asserts that he is indeed Madara, but in the form of a question. Makes me wonder if this guy is even really Uchiha Madara at all.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced that Tobi is not really Madara, but is someone just using the name to further his cause and create more confusion. The exchange you mentioned between Kakashi and Tobi is one thing, but also because the 4th simply referred to him as "the one in the mask" and not as Madara.

The one thing that we do know is that Itachi referred to the person that is Tobi, as Uchiha Madara. He spoke about him in detail and knew him personally through his secret mission and his days in Akatsuki. Or more like, he spoke about Madara, and then Tobi/Madara approached Sasuke after that, so we came to that conclusion. Also in Itachi/Madara's flashback we see Madara, albeit sporting a different mask and hairstyle. That's the reason why I assumed that he was really Madara. But now the possibility that he may have even tricked Itachi is surfacing. Even if it's just a tiny possibility, it would be huge, since Itachi so far is the only person that actually REALLY knew that it was Uchiha Madara, since he PERSONALLY helped Itachi destroy the clan.

I guess Pain knew him too, but Pain never actually spoke about him to anyone in the series, so we can't even go by that.

It is just possible that Kishi is letting the interns write the story again though.:rolleyes:

Heh I wrote off the "Uchiha Madara?!?" exclaimation as poor manga translation. Kakashi's accusation was "the check" to make Madara admit exactly who he was, because there still was question as to who "the man in the swirly mask" was.

Just like the situation in "Avatar the Last Airbender" when Zuko's Sister confronts Zuko by saying "You've been to see Uncle, haven't you?!" Zuku replies "That guard told you" and his sister retorts back "No, you just did, you moron". But I digress.

Dang.. can't wait for the next chapter.

So I basically agree that it is a manifestation/personification of Sasuke's chakra and hatred.

Didn't they say that the bijuu come from places where hatred stews? I'm not saying Itachi's or Sasuke's "true self" is a bijuu. But I think that if a person has enough hatred, and enough strength and chakra dedicated to that hatred, that chakra can take on a life of its own and become a bijuu.
