Just watched the first episode, and I thought it was pretty good. Started last week on TNT. People that like shows like Sleeper Cell, The Shield, The Wire should enjoy this. Plus, it has Meg from Supernatural.

Second episode is tonight.

In Dark Blue,Dylan McDermott is Carter Shaw, the leader of our crack undercover team of police officers whose relentless pursuit of LA’s worst criminals has cost him any semblance of a personal life; Omari Hardwick is Ty Curtis, a recently married cop who struggles to maintain his dual existence; Logan Marshall-Green is Dean Bendis, a shoot-from-the-hip officer whose activities make fellow team members question his loyalties; and Nicki Aycox is Jaimie Allen, a green patrol cop with a hidden past.

DARK BLUE comes to TNT from Warner Horizon Television, with prolific producer Jerry Bruckheimer (the CSI series, Without a Trace), Jonathan Littman (the CSI series, Cold Case), Danny Cannon (the CSI series, Eleventh Hour) and Doug Jung (Big Love) serving as executive producers. KristieAnne Reed (Eleventh Hour) is co-executive producer. Cannon directed the pilot episode. The series co-stars Logan Marshall-Green (The O.C.), Omari Hardwick (TNT’s Saved) and Nicki Aycox (Supernatural).

Not sure why but i didnt really care for it, wich is weird because i'm not that picky and i like alot of tv shows, including some crime/cop shows and the cast is good, but was just...bored.

Maybe its just because theres like a gazillion different crimeshows, and theres constantly coming new ones so its just getting old.

This series is all kinds of failure to me. First it "stars" Dylan McDermott, a schmuck who's supposed to pass off as a stud. In the previews he has the worse line ever in a tv show or movie: (imagine this being said in the smarmiest, ham-acted way possible) "what can I do for the federal bureau of intimidation?" Worst... line... ever.

Second, from the character descriptions it seems to be a typical "motley crew" squad that somehow is crack elite and deep undercover, yet one of the members is the typical rookie patrol cop, one is the usual loose cannon, and one has a family to worry about, all led by the cliched super soldier who doesn't play by the rules.

I hope the series is done in less than 3 episodes. I'm tired of seeing the commercials for it.

Though I agree with some of the points you make, seems a bit overboard hate for something you haven't watched yet. Dylan is indeed a schmuck. And terrible one-liners are quite abundant in cable tv, so I'll cringe a bit and tolerate it.

Gonna try episode 1 and 2 and see where i go from there, just because Munsu thinks it might have potential (but mostly because of Meg from Supernatural :P)
