Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas OAV

The precuel of the classic Saint Seiya series arrives on its first two OAV.

The story is set 200 years previous to the original Saint Seiya. The resurrection of Hades is at hand and the Saint are gathering in order to prevent the Overlord to be reborn.

Three orphans were separated due to a certain event. Tenma, Alone and Sasha.

Libra Dohko finds a promising boy, named Tenma, while traveling. Taking him to the sanctuary he hopes for he to become a Saint.

Meanwhile, Pandora is on the move... and she approaches the reencarnation of Hades.

Pegasus Tenma is voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara (Simon @ Gurren Lagan)
Hades Alone is voiced by Hiro Shimono (Dan @ Basquach)
Athena Sasha is voiced by Aya Hirano (do I need to say?)

According to ANN The Lost Canvas will consist of 13 Ova.

Because the last chapter was too stereotypic (is that english?), at least I prefered Zeus chapter, even if it was a small OAV, it had something more to it.

I finally decided to give this a try.
I can't say the scenario is top notch, this is your stereotype "angry teen saves the world with incredible powerups".
But at least I like the drawings and global quality, first ep is nice in that department.
My main concern is that it's incredibly rushed, of course because of the number of eps being 13 only.
I guess those OAV are meaningless to those not knowing anything about the Saint Seiya universe. You'd lack lots of information to fill in the large blanks.

Let's see how it unfolds, after all we all the Saint Seiya fans know the outcome, since we watched the following arcs... I wonder if it would be considered spoiler... anyway, what's important here is how we get to that outcome.

Gleam had ep 4 out, but with a meager 200MB

Then you have a group for that same ep, that did only that ep
And then 2 new groups for 5 and 6.

What was your choice?

So the 13 OAV episodes are over.
We're stuck before the real fights begin.

We'll have to wait for production decision to have an animated end to that story, probably in 13 eps to have a full 26 eps.
