Summary courtesy One Manga:

Being the daughter of a dojo manager, Oosawa Masaki has been practising nothing but karate. Her chance encounter with a certain young man sparks her interest in figure skating. Can a mannish Masaki transform into a sweet, lovely girl on the skating rink?

I'v been reading this for sometime and I have found it quite entertaining. Nothing really original but it still brings the lulz so im happy with it. Only major problem with the series is that it releases monthly. Check it out guys and tell me what ya think.

Does it have some good dosage of fights? Can't say I'm really interested in this just for the ice skating. I'll be happy if it's something like Yawara.

It has a few fight scenes, since Masaki has studied karate since she was little, but thats not the focus of the series. She basically turns what she has learned in karate and applies it to figure skating. Give it a few chapters, it isnt that long.

It does have very strong similarities(after a little research), but IR is more shoujo then shonen in Blizzard Axel. The main character here is a tomboy with karate experience while in BA the main character seems to be a guy with a attention whoring complex.

It's cute.

It has a fair amount of the technical side of it down too. The secretary I sit near at work is a big skater, and if you get her going, she'll give you all kinds of info. Chapter 3 had a lot of the finer details than I was not expecting to see in a series like this, and Misaki's coach is getting her started on the technical competition stuff that figure skating is all about despite the more simple appearance on tv.

I like Misaki and Saaya's reaction shots of course, definitely a comedy shoujo staple.

btw...title page of chapter 4...*drool*

Glad you like it, hopefully more people will be willing to follow this series as it continues

A lot more drama then usual, and I gotta say its really nice how they included the physics of some of the moves in this manga.

I just read all scanlated chapters, and I must say, despite the presence of a prince character which I abhor, this is a pretty good manga. I love the two female leads, and if this somehow turns Yuri I would be ecstatic.

Pretty good chapter, I'm glad they didn't draw out the rivalry with Mika, and they didn't make her out to be some cookie-cutter villain. It was an accident, she just lashed out at Saaya from the jealously.
