Description: Plot is really not going to matter here. Tournament, chicks fight, often borders (or crosses into) hentai. Based on a hentai manga series and tabletop game.

Cast: Along with the quality of the animation, this is where the series really shines.

Subs are watchable, but given how threadbare the plot is, it really doesn't matter. Audio is fine, visuals could be better, but that's probably the quality of the raw.

Pretty visuals, good animation, good fights, highest concentration of ecchi I have ever seen that was somehow allowed to be broadcast over cable/satellite. Usually this kind of stuff can't make it into OVAs.

The voice cast was indeed the only really interesting thing about it. Otherwise it was so bad I probably wouldn't have watched this first ep till the end. I found even Ikkitousen to flow much better. I suppose one of the major problems was that there was a whole bunch of bare chested women thrown in without any sense of who and what they are and what they are aiming at. Now, I don't belong to those who need everything explained, but this could have had a more constructive beginning. Though since I doubt there is anything to explain in this series nor do I expect the characters to really have any background, maybe that's a completely moot point.

Too bad I'm such a fan of Ayako Kawasumi that I will probably force myself to keep watching... What comes to her, in the end after Kanokon I doubt any role short of actual hentai is too perverted for her. Good (?) to see Aya Hirano is no different...

I too sampled the lovely boobage of this show, not much to say other than I predict this show will work for me until I get tired of the girls outfits and personality archetypes. Since the plot is more or less non existent I'll just focus on them.

My favorite overall would have to be Claudette with Risty as a close second, I've always been drawn to the more experienced and world savvy types as opposed to the idealistic inexperienced types. For outfits I also liked Claudette's the best, though Elaina's wasn't too shabby either. Reina's family armor was just too absurd for me to suspend my disbelief though. I could just barely handle Claudette's plate mail bra but a plate mail one piece constricting Reina's generous and I'm sure quite sensitive breast meat...it was just too much to bear. Melona looked just plain creepy which was made even worse by her penchant for spurting things out her breasts which I was rather uncomfortable with. Risty's outfit just seemed too plain to counter how unrealistic it was. The others all had oddly placed metal to try and enhance their cool factor but Risty's garment seems made purely of cloth which just didn't do as much for me, which is a shame as I think her body could be quite flateing on its own or in different attire to accent her best features.

As for the voices, Nanael reminded me fondly of Minato from Akane-Iro which was a plus but she seems to have been cast as the butt monkey and I have a hard time liking butt monkey's since they are rarely allowed to crawl out of the hole the plot forces them into. The only other voice I was used to enough to detect was wrathful loli and she helped make Melona that much creepier so props to her. The rest of the cast may be famous but as I don't typically listen for voices I didn't really notice if I'd heard them before.

it.. it wasn't really what I was expecting at all. bits and pieces were, but the whole focus on boobs is a pretty big turn away. like, i thought they were just gonna be girl knights dressed skimpily. not focus all of their fighting on boobs and attack with the boobs. that's just too much.

Okay, I heard that there was smut in this, and since I am a smut fan, I couldn't resist downloading it. There was still a little skepticism lingering in my mind since Kraco said it's worse than Ikkitousen, and I thought Ikki was a bland, boring, and crappy anime.

At the beginning I loved the violence. It seemed like a more sexually 'charged' version of Elfen Lied. I mean her breast was cut open? Someone already pissed their pants? Damn. At the moment 'plot' and character motivations didn't seem to be important. So far it was just fast paced bloody and perverted violence of the Gantz variety, that I like. And then they went to some palace and it got BORRRINGGG and the animation quality got crappier than Strawberry Panic. That was my cue to fast forward and look for some more ecchi, of which there wasn't much except for exploding breasts.

Leaving her walking around in ropes was meh for me, it doesn't leave much to the imagination. The crotch shots and dominant figures in this anime made me laugh. At least in hentai there is something satisfying like molestation. I would call this ecchi rather than smut, smut at least has good character development. :[

The voices and soundtrack seems so out of place with all these boobs. Plot-wise, this reminds me of the recently ended Koihime Musou, with big-breasted women wandering warring territories without much storyline to boot.

I might keep watching this just to see where it goes, but it is barely engaging. As Sapphi said, hentai is more satisfying. :p. I'd be awesome if they could make them with these production values though :D.

You know what, this episode was actually enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, it still had its fair share of breasts and thighs, but as parts of grabs and bondage moves rather than actual attacks. Boob cannon was replaced by the more conservative clothe-stripping saliva, and at least Mikos don't piss themselves (seriously, what was with that?).

The "HD" visual posted was crap, but story-wise was fairly alright. I might actually be able to take this show seriously if they manage to keep the nudity scenes on a level below ridiculous.

Demonic Ninja girl overtook Sister-complex 3rd princess now. Ninja/Miko fetish this episode. Elf ones next.

For some reason I can't get myself to like Claudette that much. Perhaps it's because she's so "womanly", as in mature, because I have no trouble with the young version. I think I've opened up to her a bit by the end of the episode though, where she shows the first sign that she won't blindly follow the Count's orders anymore.

It's probably because I hate Count Vance for what he did, and that negative emotion somehow transfers over to Clau because she's acting as his dog, despite she's who I should be sympathising with.

Risty's expression would be what I'd describe as "cunning". I wonder if it was intended that way.

My fav characters are still Shizuka, 3rd Vance sister and Tomoe though.

I suppose the problem I have with Reina is that she supposedly the main protagonist or mascot character of Queen's Blade, but compared to any of the others, she has absolutely zero distinguishing abilities to her fighting style, which is only mediocre at best.

- Listy isn't that good as a fighter either, but she seems a lot physically stronger in comparison, and is a master thief to make up for it.
- Claudette is obvious.
- Mellona (the goo girl) has acid boobs, high resistance to damage, and an extra set of arms (when they are not squeezing her boobs).
- Elina (the youngest of the Vance sisters) seems to be a very accomplished and skilled fighter in her own right, and although we haven't actually seen her fight all out, she has obviously been allowed to get a lot more experience than Reina.
- Tomoe is a highly skilled samurai, and has her very strong priestess powers to back them up.
- Shizuka is a very strong ninja, and from her and Tomoe's introduction episode, she showed how many skilled warriors she can kill.
- Echidna is a highly regarded, and well paid assassin with a lot of experience. Even though she betrayed Claudette's contract, she shows a lot of skill. She just casually messed around with Reina.
- Menace, who we just saw here, obviously has a great deal of power in her weapons and her own abilities.

Reina on the other hand, seems only useful to fall down a hole every episode, which she did once again here. I find it really hard to believe she could possibly even qualify for the Queen's Blade tournament, much less win it until she actually learns how to fight, stops pining after Listy, and gains some actual ability.

She was actually quite the swordsman while she was possessed. You can't be sure if it's entirely due to some warrior evil spirit, but she definitely has it in her. That personality though....argh.

As for actual sub-quality, I don't think it matters. SFW does release in 960x720 however, if you're interested in even bigger boobs on screen. I just got them out of habit, and that I usually run into SFW subs at places I check.

It's so bad that it's actually worth watching, if that makes any sense. In terms of actual content, this is easily the worst series I've ever seen.

a) shear determination.
b) The art is pretty good (eps 9 notwithstanding). The eyes in particular.
c) Shizuka (the ninja) and Claudette (lightning superpowers)
d) I like most of the VAs in the series.
e) I got through three seasons of Ikkitousen and at least half of the first season of Fighting Beauty Wulong, this is nothing.

But mostly (a) and (c). Shizuka is voiced by Hitomi Nabatame and she is a kickass ninja, while Claudette is voiced by Atsuko Tanaka and despite her amazing supernatural powers, she has a huge inferiority complex about her nearly incompetent (totally incompetent until this episode) younger sister.

EDIT: Like BoC said, we're not here for the plot.

That particular training from hell was hilarious in its over the top craziness. I especially liked how the goop seems like might have had the same effect if they'd just coated their weapons with it it rather than themselves but coating themselves with it made for more ecchi fun. Despite the absurdity Reina leveling up can only make things more entertaining from my perspective. Watching her get knocked around like a ragdoll and raped over and over was starting to wear thin even for me. Hopefully now she'll be able to put up a better fight before getting knocked around and maybe she'll earn enough respect to not get raped afterwards.

Some of the storylines were exactly the same. The pantsu episodes..oh wait, that's all of them. The pure fanservice episodes then.

As for Queen's Blade...I wasn't watching for the story, I still don't know (or care) what's going on, but I welcome more of it. Elina hasn't gotten nearly as much time as she should have been getting in my opinion. Hell, we haven't even seen half the cast fight at all. How many formal Queen's Blade matches actually went to their fruition? Four or Five?

I mentioned before that I didn't even realize that Tomoe hadn't been fighting anyone until Shizuka said it. So I welcome a second season, just so long as we actually see some combat. That and the quality of the animation on the eyes is the same level.

It's just the first season had enough mystery that I want to see who wins. I'm a "face" person rather than a "titty" person, so with or without boobs, Elina, Tomoe, Sizuka and whoever-the-master-elf-is are my favourite. Airi a hair's width behind.

I had read somewhere that that is what Melpha does to attack, but I was completely unprepared for how vulgar it would appear they would animate it and actually air it. It might have been worse that she was fully clothed. I couldn't stop laughing after the first two or three.

Nix (or I've seen Nyx too), might have some interesting character development with Elina, but in the end, she's still just there for tentacle fanservice. Flame magic is neat though. It looks like they will spend a much larger part of next episode with their battle.

All in all, Tomoe is cooly collected, but her fights are pretty boring. She'll end it in a single strike after she finally gets up the determination, which isn't all that exciting.

I totally forgot Echidna was an elf until Ayellen and her seemed to know each other, then I recognised those pointy ears. Despite her appearance she has a thing for molestering saving little girls.

I hope they put in as much effort into animating the fights as they do the erotic scenes. The action's not bad, but I was hoping for better, given how visual this anime is. (and how rather lacking it is in other aspects).

That last sentence is actually getting overturned bit by bit with each new episode. I'm now finding myself anticipating what will happen each week as opposed to seeing who's turn it is to get raeped.

I knew there was a reason that Elina was my favorite of the actual fighters (since Shizuka doesn't participate). She's so heartlessly evil, and then turns around and starts making cute noises in the bath again thinking of Reina. No wonder I like her, she's just like Kuroko in Railgun/Index.

I did like Cattelya's line to Claudette though. If there is anyone in this series that both looks and acts like a queen, it is Claudette. She is probably the most deserving to rule, because she is just and fair.

I don't really care much for the two from the elven forest, but Echidna is great, so maybe she'll actually win instead.

As for Listy...what the hell? Aldra mind-raped her, and now she's the queen's favorite to win. Why doesn't Aldra just win again like she apparently has in the past?

The story is indeed rather interesting. Airi also seemed to notice precisely what Aldra had done to Listy. It seems Aldra forced Airi and Cattelya's match to be where Cattelya would lose her will because she is such a famous and overwhelming opponent. One simply swing of her giant slayer sword would annihilate most of the competitors in the tournament. Whatever it is, Airi was definitely on to it.

Looking forward to Claudette's battle next week.

I thought Dragon's Tail was portrayed as a pretty crazy (but stupid) thrust last season, but I never liked it. I don't think I've liked Reina or anything she's done up till now. Ymir's fight was indeed lackluster, but I chuckled at the rocket-gauntlets. Her mindset's screwed though, since she seems to think the weapon makes the warrior.

Despite how much I like Shizuka, I find myself wishing she dies in this encounter. It would make it a whole lot more meaningful, having Tomoe carry the burden of killing another best friend - this time directly.

After what you've said, I'm less sure this would happen, especially since no one's died yet. Irma so should have suffered a broken spine and multiple ruptured organs.

Regardless of the result, I'm really glad they did what they did with Shizuka fighting Tomoe. She's been pretty much a side character all along. She's hot but never does much, and I was beginning to wonder what would become of her. If she can't shine as a combatant on her own, then I'd very much rather she be remembered as a major "stepping stone" for one of the primary warriors than someone's sidekick.

The flashback was great; in particular, the very last scene. Shizuka seeing Tomoe off was very symbolic of her journey ending, but not before providing Tomoe one last "service" so she can continue hers.

Cattleya does, or rather did, the same sort of one-hit instant victories with her Giant Killer. The difference is that she was very prominently known as an adventurer before she settled down. Tomoe comes from Hinomoto, to which very little is known, so her cheerleaders consist of 1) Tomoe and 2) Reina, so it isn't like word of her exploits are spread far and wide like the much more famous characters. It's really the getting tossed around first before her instant kill that bothers me. She's a samurai more or less, so single hit kills should be expected, and getting stripped/exploited is part of Queen's Blade, but you'd expect her defenses to be better.

For heaven's sake, Reina is getting a better track record of keeping her clothes intact this season. I can't remember a fight this season (or most of last) where Tomoe's top wasn't destroyed. With any luck, this event in the plot will hopefully change it for the better.

As for Reina, once Ymir does whatever it is she is going to do to Reina's sword, she'll undoubtedly gain another power up, putting her more in line with Claudette and Listy.

I can't tell where Listy ranks on the power scale. This episode depicted her as being really strong, but the previous match last season where Claudette owned her made it look like she's just a skilled thief with a club.

My understanding is that Listy is in the same Berserker Strength class as Cattleya and Ymir, but without the disadvantage of having her son attached to her or being an arrogant shortie. The problem is that like Tomoe, Listy is a nice person who cares about others. She would much rather flee with stolen treasure than fight and hurt someone.

When Aldra has her possessed, she forgets all that and uses both her huge strength and quick feet to overpower her opponents. Irma for instance is very fast, but Listy isn't slow by any means, so she can dodge and then punish her.

I would also like to note that I vastly prefer Listy's enormous mass of hair in the noblewoman hair-sleeve-thing than in the tangled lion's mane she had previously. The horned half-mask...take it or leave it.

I've completely lost patience for Nanael's boasting now. Her indirectly causing Airi to disappear was the main trigger, but it's been building up the whole time anyway. I don't know if her astonishment at Reina's attacks were meant to highlight how good she is now or anything, but to me, it just made her sound like a spoiled brat.

Reina's mum, however, is totally hot.

Rana used to come off as just another hindrance of a kid too, but that's improved fairly markedly this episode. I was happy to see him feel guilty that he was partially the reason why Airi ran out of energy, and actually doing something useful instead of being a 30KG handicap waiting for people to solve his problems for him.

We have Ymir to thank for that.

With all my fav characters out of the picture for now, I guess the plot's the only thing keeping me. Fortunately, it only seems to get better.

I think you missed the key event here, Melona's back! Acid-spewing constantly squeezed slime boobies for everyone! In all honesty, I actually find myself a bit curious how she would have fared in the tournament against some of the weaker-to-average fighters, Nyx, Irma, the two elves that aren't Echidna (and therefore boring), Ymir, Nanael, etc). She had a bit of an unfair run in the previous series since Reina gained the benefit of Protagonist Power to beat her on a few occasions, and then she made the stupid decision to face off with Aldra.

Yes, Reina's (and Elina's) mother was very hot. We can see where they get their looks from. If we didn't know Claudette was adopted, it wouldn't be much of a surprise there either.

Also in total agreement that Nanael is [all but] gone. They luckily spared us by putting most of her into a single episode, rather than have her fight and win on a number of other occasions.

As for next episode, I can't really decide which fight I'm more interested in. Tomoe's One-Shot Victory versus Reina's Protagonist Power. Now her Dragon Tail isn't even a low thrust, she beat Nanael with an upward stroke of her blade. Perhaps it will fire a beam of energy next time. That would make it a fair fight with Tomoe's Moon Blade from last season.

On the other hand, we have a rematch between Claudette and Listy. I really like Claudette, and we should get some more character development with her fight taking place in her own castle. That side of the fight will probably come down to her gaining her father's acceptance, but probably ultimately losing to Listy.

That way they'll set up a fight between Reina and Listy, so we can get the combo Redemption Fight as well as Reina finally fulfilling her dream of facing off evenly with Listy, her inspiration most of this time. As for how Reina will beat a determined Tomoe is anyone's guess.

Reina (pigtails) being a loser and incessantly chasing after Listy (barbarian/thief), Tomoe (samurai-miko) getting lost a lot and being...the goddess of instant victory. Claudette (Reina's adopted older sister and Lightning General) thinking she had accidentally killed Reina for a few episodes out of jealously.

Reina finally finding out that she sucks and then searching for a teacher, Claudette and Reina settling their differences, going to the capital city for a completely ridiculous showdown with Melona (slime girl) after she became uber powered for a few minutes.

Nanael (angel) being obnoxious. All. the. time.

There are other characters too, but they're not nearly as important.

Aldra cheats to make Listy win. I'm shocked. I did find the robot noises when Listy's hand twitched back to consciousness funny though. Totally lame sound effects.

I still think that Claudette would have made the best Queen. She was fair and just, with a strong sense of what was right and wrong. Plus, she was always repressed, so she understands the plights of others.

As for episode 10, thank god that Ultra-Hax finally lost. She even went super saiyan! She used every one of her instant victory attacks, was given unfair advantages in terms of location, and she still lost to Reina of all people. Quite the relief. I find it very hard to support someone who would murder her friend and somehow think it made her stronger. Reina has made a lot of progress through experience alone, and thanks to helpful aid of blacksmiths, was finally equipped properly. I did really like Reina's air burst whatever attack she used with the new sword, it was a nice visual effect.


I was also amused by how retarded Nanael continues to be, as well as how badly Nyx lets herself get exploited. Trashy schoolgirl outfit...only in QB.

I always thought Aldra was a devil, or part human part devil, or even a human possessed by a devil. What I was shocked by was that the dark, windowless room that looked like the secret basement of some shifty organisation's HQ was actually in the sky.

Claudette w/o armour and headpiece was a treat. She's definitely the best candidate for a queen because she's the only one mature enough to be one. That part may be explained by her location. As explained by Aldra, that place is where all her comrades died, ghosts who no doubt carry some sort of vengeance as well as the desire for Tomoe to win the QB tournament.

Tomoe's state of mind was also in a state where she was susceptible to infiltration by these vengeful spirits (wasn't the point of shrine maidens is that they had pure hearts?), which all adds up to her becoming something of a fighting machine (think Listy).

Dull? Reina finally...(how to phrase this without looking like a total pervert?)...did what she hasn't done since season one and notably the first episode against Melona when Listy was choking her.

In all seriousness, it wasn't as entertaining as I had hoped. It would have been a lot nicer if it wasn't taking place in wherever the hell it was, some sort of Underworld fishbowl psychic representation of Listy's soul, etc. I would have liked to see a bit more variety than two Dragon Tail's in a row too. Maybe like a shield smash or something, but Listy's fight with Claudette was much better.

Speaking of which, it was nice of Reina to admit that Claudette would have made a much better Queen than Reina ever will.

It was a very lacking ending.

Since 1 hax move is not enough, then combining every hax move to date is obviously the conclusion to all problems. We didn't get a conclusion to who Aldra's sister is. Adult Aldra actually looked a lot more similar to Nix than I had imagined.

And of course, if a minor character like Irma survives a back-breaker, then Reina simply has to survive a Neck Crusher.

What I did like was how they brought Airi back. It wasn't some magic summon or the Swamp Witch brought me back because I'm "not" useless. I think I remember Airi's scythe splitting in half when she died though, so there may be some inconsistency there, but overall I liked how it was done. The Scythe Pin was hot.

I suppose Queen's Blade turned out a lot better than anyone could have expected. Whatever plot they threw in at the start of S2 was interesting, and the art's been good to watch throughout.

Since Koihime Musou gets a third season, I'm relatively confident we'll be hearing about Queen's Blade: Rebellion down the track.

An entire half hour devoted to Elina.

I couldn't have asked for a better starting ep (except perhaps my other favs Alleyne and Airi, but Elina's got the energy to kick it off).

That out of the way, this episode was much more about Reina than Elina. She was much much more reliable as a sister than anything we've been shown before. Her change in attitude was rather abrupt, but probably not inappropriate for a teenager. I totally felt sorry for Elina there, even if her sexual harassment deserves a restraint order.

The other thing that wasn't so apparent throughout the series was that the QB competitors were easily capable of destroying entire armies. They were strong, yes, but they never seemed quite that strong.

Elina's new design will take a little getting used to, but I think I can do that.

I have no recollection whatsoever of what Gynos and Claudia are doing at this point.

I'm not much of a fan of Hirano Aya either anymore (exact same voice 95% of the time...), so any episode with Nanael in it (much less a focus on her) is doubly grating and irritating. The December issue of Monthly Hobby Japan magazine is announcing on Tuesday that a television anime adaptation of the Queen's Blade: Rebellion storyline has been green-lit. The story originated in Hobby Japan's Queen's Blade fantasy game book franchise that also inspired the previous two television anime series and several original video anime volumes.

The Queen's Blade: Rebellion game books serve as a sequel to the original Queen's Blade game books, which are Japanese spinoffs from Flying Buffalo's Lost Worlds game series. In combat picture book games, players simulate turn-based fighting with books that each represent a character.

The story is set four years after the first storyline and revolves around Annelotte, the rebelling knight princess who stands up to the tyranny of the new queen. The Rebellion storyline already inspired two prologue original video anime DVDs that are being bundled with the Queen's Blade Premium Visual Books.

Funny how Claudette's become a tyrant, but unifying the whole continent isn't exactly a bad idea in the long run. I can't say I'm particularly surprised considering what the nobles did to Claudette's sister in the first of the last OVAs. They destroyed the Vance Estate, planned to execute Elina after torturing her, and started their own rebellion just because Reina won and abdicated immediately to Claudette. All after their father had planned to overthrow the whole Queen's Blade scheme and set the nobles in power.

At first I had thought that Claudette might be possessed (still a possibility), but her motivations for slaughtering the nobility make sense, just not necessarily the level of brutality she's using. Not to mention that Elina was always supposedly very fierce and cruel on the battlefield, so I guess even that makes sense.

What did surprise me was that anyone fell for Annelotte pretending to be a boy. Long hair, feminine face and voice, and a smooth...hip region. Why did they even try?

But Annelotte is a much better protagonist than Reina. She's got a real motivation and she was already competent before Alleyne trained her. Not like the previous protagonist who ran off because she wanted adventure and was terrible at fighting even after she developed her insta-win attack.

Sun/Moonlight Dancer turned out to be more likable than I initially expected. I thought she was going to be a Menace.v2. She is, in a sense, but more fun.

Still looking forward to the pirate/rapier chick. Her design shouts Tony Taka, and it's the first time that I've thought that a QB design looked remarkably different in style compared to all the others. The "big chick" this time also looks much much better than the blacksmith woman from last time.

Other than that, none of the other characters in the OP/ED look remotely like they could be working for the Witch of the Black Swamp, so I'm guessing that it's just all about competition now?

Very little sign of her thus far, and all we see are her servitors and lackeys (Ymir, the other dwarf, Elina, random assassin girls and debatably Siggy).

But I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't just a pure two-way fight between Annelotte's forces and Claudette's. Siggy already feels like she would go against Claudette if it wasn't in line with her zealous beliefs.

I had the impression that the Witch wanted to sabotage the contest in some way (though in actuality, her actions just served to force some characters to do some half-assed shit they didn't feel like doing, heh). Melona and Airi always insisted the Swamp Witch wanted to stop the tournaments. Pretty much exactly what Claudette has done. It wasn't clear if the Swamp Witch wanted them to stop because she wanted to rule, or some other more benevolent reason. Her followers made occasionally statements it would be for the good of everyone, but of course, that's really hard to believe.

I don't know...Siggy's not that bad. She's insane, sure, but that's mostly due to her blind zealous devotion. She may burn people alive, but she's also kind to children, the needy, and old people. If Elina doesn't like her, that's a good reason to give her another chance.

It's right there in the title, this is not the organized Queen's Blade tournament for the right to rule, it is an armed rebellion instead.

I don't like Elina, I think she's a bitch. Anything that pisses her off or that she dislikes is a good thing imo.

Yes, Ymir was in the last tournament. So was Claudette and Reina and everyone else. Reina won, placed Claudette on the throne because she didn't want to rule. Claudette canceled the QB tourney (http://i49.tinypic.com/2qm0qrr.jpg) during her reign which continues to present.

wow. Okay, I didn't notice how risque Ymir's attire was. Still, I don't think even Japan will show those undeveloped breasts bare - however close they get to it. She's coming off quite nicely as the scheming brains behind the government military. I never would have thought.

I like that everyone keeps giving Annelotte nicknames (Onii-chan despite accpeting she's a girl, Onee-sama/Fated One, etc.), none of which she is particularly fond of being called.

Siggy may be really dumb/blind/zealous and a bit too strict, but it is clear she's a good person at heart. Even if she thought Mirim was possessed by a demon, she was willing to defend her from Ymir. Even after she was prepared to burn Mirim to death, once Ymir showed up and claimed her, Siggy wasn't happy about giving the clearly suffering girl to Ymir.

The jewels on Claudette's face make her look stupid. Not a fan of her new outfit, in contrast to most of the returning cast.

Not that it will ever matter, but who keeps fixing Annelotte's armor? Reina usually lost the leather straps holding her breastplate up, and Tomoe's shredded clothes were easy to replace. Actually, most of the girls in the previous seasons wore clothing instead of armor.

So much spying.. Yeah, Rebellion is kicking off much better than QB did, plotwise anyway. I wonder if I'd feel this way if the first two seasons didn't turn out the way they did though.

I kind of feel unfair for Ymir in that I predict her demise will be due to Siggy backstabbing her.

Siggy will undoubtedly betray Ymir and the Queen. It's strange, Ymir seems more like the arch-nemesis than Claudette does. Her greed certainly seems to have gotten the better of her, but the increase in her brutality is a bit surprising from the way she used to be. She always cared more about fame and money, but I never thought she was a particularly deceptive and cruel person.

Siggy seems to have caught on already that Ymir is anything but trustworthy and honorable.

Indeed, Rebellion feels a lot more like QBs2 than it does QB. It flows together well, and has a cohesive plot.

Very interesting development this episode.

When the horse-power started activating against the Wizard Stone this episode I was starting to get Dragon Tail vibes again. Annolette is no where near as useless as Reina was, but it remains a fact that that power has been saving her multiple times while her own skills were not of significant benefit. Now at least there seems to be a backstory to it all (plus the fact that if you can "overload" it so it's not an instant hack). I wonder how much of Annolette's influence was intact in her Dark Mode?

Light pink seems to be a popular colour. Who do we have: Annolette, Vante and Lilianna?

You could say that about anyone in the franchise. Tomoe is saved by her Mikopowah!(tm) insta-kills, Claudette is saved by her thunderclaps, Risty by her Being an Aloof Bitch power, Branwen by her masochism-overdrive dragon rush, or Siggy getting enough room/time to pull off a holy pose. Annelotte's Epic Mount is just her special ability, which also seems to come with a hidden Demon Mode.

Obviously the other girl in the housewife outfit at Siggy's church is connected to Annelotte, and I've got an educated guess it's pretty clear who she is given how Annelotte's power manifests itself, and her own appearance. Guess that answers one of the major questions of the prior seasons.

On the other hand, I was a bit disappointed that Mirim's story is over. I feel like they should have dragged that part out more, especially if they aren't going to have Ymir steal the robot. Mirim was starting to get brainwashed by the treatment she was being given from the regular soldiers. It would have been nice for her to continue down that path and remain a major point of contention for Yuit, who more and more is starting to feel like the main character. Ymir is her arch-nemesis, it was her kidnapped and brainwashed friend that was becoming more loyal to the Queen.

I also feel like Yuit should be doing more when she fights. The commands she gives to Vante don't need to be that elaborate despite what complex actions are carried out, so she could certainly bash someone in the back of the head with a mallet or something, or untie people, etc.

Regular Annelotte is by far my favorite of the girls this season, demon Annelotte...not so much.

I am guessing that is Aldra. Red eyes, the hair color also the fact that she became a nun and was one( or simply dressed like one ) when traveling with Tomoe but I don't remember her having elf ears. So yeah pretty sure she's Aldra. And that pendant could be made of the same ore as Aldra " Demon Eye " which she used to crystallize people with.

Reina is probably on the list because Elina put her there. She may have been squeeing about Claudette this episode, but we know from the earlier episode exactly how deeply she wants Reina back. Poor Annelotte had to endure the octopus for quite a while while Elina "relaxed" outside.

I do wonder who was in the middle. At first I thought it was Listy with much straighter hair for some reason, but it didn't really fit.

I don't expect Aldra to overtly join Annelotte's harem the way the others have. She's rather lovely-dovey toward her unseen husband. Even if Annelotte impresses her the same way she did Lunaluna, I would still expect Aldra to go home. She's like the new Cattelya, just a lot less grotesque. Aldra didn't have the pointed ears before, even after she regained her adult form and became a nun. I wonder if she awakened her demon side or something, causing her to lose her memories. Either that...or the Swamp Witch did it.

Siggy on the other hand, has already shown inclinations toward Annelotte. That might change if she sees Annelotte's demon side.

I don't remember Reina being this cool.. some proper wandering like Risty had must have done her some good (including looking after little children and all). I'm glad that one of them is finally acting like a cool protagonist would, while the other finally tamed her hair a bit into something nicer-looking.

I was always a fan of Evil Risty's hair in the second season, so I'm definitely enjoying her current look, plus calling Elina an idiot is always worth it (it's so true).

This episode was pretty adorable. Samurai Girl summoned by little children like it was part of a Kamen Rider/generic-magical-girl Costume Show at a Theme Park. Annelotte looks strong, so they summon "Izumi-chan" by chanting her name over and over. She gives a prepared intro from the trees [backstage], and quickly appears. Then it only got better with the two demons (who were surprisingly stronger than I would have thought, damn Aldra is a good summoner) and the children kept encouraging Izumi by chanting her name some more.

The only thing it was missing was a former pop idol playing the ditzy MC. In this case, maybe Nyx or Nanael.

Looking at the current line-up, Annelotte is pretty much the strongest out of all the "new" cast. She isn't quite at Alleyne's level of proficiency if I remember correctly (unless they departed with a "There's nothing more I can teach you"), which places her undeneath Reina.

edit: hmm, she didn't, but this is all about skill without demon powers, dragon tails and such... Annelotte-in-training was so damn cute.

I'm not happy that Aldra lost like that, but whatever. I really want to know if Aldra really does have a husband somewhere, or if she just somehow came to the idea that she has one and must keep up her wife duties in the meanwhile.

Nanael Archangel... is Heaven short on angels or something?? I like Laila. She's a good contrast to Nanael in that she actually wants to be a good angel, but simply falls short.

I thought Ymir was simply doing the Queen's bidding until this episode, but it's almost like Claudette's the puppet here.. to the Swamp Witch? Laila might say the curse was spreading, but as far as being a swamp goes that place was pretty dry.

Apparently QB:Rebellion finishes with episode 12. I can't see a very satisfactory ending with such a short amount of time left.. but I sure as hope we get another run confirmed if this is a half-way ending like the first QB was.

Aldra seems to have gotten substantially more powerful since her retirement as Queen. She returned to summoning, but instead of being possessed, she utterly dominated two Demonic Princes as her minions, and gained enough mastery over her own demon side that she could help Annelotte, her obvious missing sibling.

If we've mostly been seeing bad Ymir (i.e. Melona), where the heck has "good" Ymir been all this time? It wasn't Ymir just doing her usual greedy thing, it was Melona-Ymir doing legitimately evil things.

I wouldn't be surprised with a second season. The first season ended with the Queen's Blade Tournament legitimately starting. The stage is set, now the rebellion can start.

I can only assume that Claudette is somehow possessed as well. By what or whom is anyone's guess. Either the Swamp Witch or the fallen angel again.
