I read this on a forum few minutes ago and thought I'd show you guys the same.
About the Vasto Lorde's and what they look like. In the anime they explained they looked alot more like humans then normal hollows correct?

Bleach Ep 8 Streaming (http://www.veoh.com/videos/v15436708WAJHYW7E?rank=1&jsonParams={%22numResults%22%3A20%2C%22rlmin%22%3A 0%2C%22query%22%3A%22Bleach+episode+8%22%2C%22rlma x%22%3Anull%2C%22veohOnly%22%3Atrue%2C%22order%22% 3A%22default%22%2C%22range%22%3A%22a%22%2C%22sId%2 2%3A%228632621427545800704%22}&searchId=8632621427545800704&rank=2)

Look at this one at 0:22. I see a hollow mask and a human face below it. They pretty much look like Arrancar but they dont have the white coat or human body. Well as far as I can tell from one.

So what you guys think? Are these real Vasto Lorde's or Arrancar?

Hmm, I think they were just filler materials that were never used as reference again. Or, it could be Grand Fisher from a long, long time ago when Ichigo's mom was still alive, and he was like, "I'll go fish him out." They could have been pre-Arrancars, but the way they were drawn seems to make them Adjuchas.

Hard to tell. There isn't much to see from just that part. And it's really dark. I wouldn't say its an arrancar though. Probably just a low level fisher or something.

I don't think they're anything. They seem to just be the "ruling hollows" before the author had even come up with the idea for Arrancar's and Vasto Lords.

Kind of like how the first couple of times you see the sillhouettes of the Akatsuki they don't have any details on most of them because Kishi probably hadn't created them all yet.

Actually, kinda funny. I posted this years ago, when lunar was subbing bleach (yo dawg). And I quote (myself):

I searched the forum and see this has not been discussed. In episode 08, 1:48, the fisher hollow person sys "I will go" and several other, humanoid, hollows are present. Given how they land, and the fact that they have a more humanoid form, I am guessing they are the equivalent of hollow captains.

Now consider that later in episode 9 2:45 the hollow claims to have no previous memory of Ichigo: its not personal. Then finally towards the end of that episode (17:35) it mentions "beaten by a mere death god?!". This suggests (and supports the above) that there are things out there that are more powerful than the most powerful, active I suppose, death gods.

The connection to the overall plot is a weaker, but may very well fill in in the next few episodes! It's been theorized that Ichigo is actually part hollow himself, and the pale Ichigo he fights for his soul slayer is perhaps a representation of this. What if (drum roll) the hollows have a goal and are somehow connected to/in control of SS? Given there is no obvious motive behind the death sentence of Rukia, except perhaps pure chaos.

Given the variations in hollow powers I think its concievable that some hollows would ahve the ability to blend in with death gods etc. Anyways, discuss I suppose. I think this is a topic that hasn't been looked into much, ie the plot from a hollows perspective in terms of goals. Remember that there clearly is some type of structure, or higher ups, among hollows.

Also, here are some pictures I posted way back when, for those too lazy to pull out their archives:

Finally, the cached link since the lunar anime forums aren't working presently
here (http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:ksyJUs3C1dEJ:www.lunarforums.org/viewtopic.php%3Fp%3D72003%26sid%3D2326f4978aa3d30f 70616578e16d713d+%22Hollows+are+organized!%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us)

There was some speculation that these images weren't in the manga. I have no idea as I don't read the manga, but the linked thread above has a somewhat interesting discussion on these images.
