I was going to convert one of our older servers at work to a virtual machine, but the disk size was over 60gb. So i went in there and did a search for anything larger than 1mb to see what was taking up all the space.

Among these files, what do i find?! PORN!

6 year old porn to be exact, file date says created in 2002. This is a Domain controller / DHCP / DNS Server... and its got all sorts of random MP3's and porn on it. interesting.

Actually I was one of the original members when the boards first started several years ago.
I used to be pretty active all over the forums but mostly in the naruto manga, anime and fanart section. Back then I had the user name "animemaster" (Older members might quicker recognize me by that tag).

What does that have to do with finding porn on a company server? There's two other threads for the presidential election topic, go troll in one of those.

I knew a sysadmin who rented out bandwidth to another company on a T1 line that was leased to his company. The main company got frustrated with how slow the network ran, then they found out why. He didn't even lose his job over it, that's how important he was to the company's network administration. What a badass.

Regarding porn from 6 years ago, 60Gb is a huge volume, because pics and vids were lighter than nowadays...

anybody need a website hosted?! I've got like... 8-9 spare IP addresses, bandwidth is limited though so i cant let you serve large files or anything illegal of course : )

so... I just picked up a dell xps system off craigslist. Learned how to "crack/ clear" a windows 7 password using Trinity Rescue.

Low and behold.... 30+ gigs of porn in the recycle bin ! I was hoping he left some games installed but just porn.

Haha, recycle bin. Maybe the previous owner didn't even have the wits for any decent gaming if he thought just sending stuff to the recycle bin was the perfect solution before selling the computer. You probably lost no games worth mentioning.

The guy probably assumed that just because he had his windows password there that whoever bought it would need to just re-install windows to use the system...

Windows 7 apparently is easy to password crack w\ the trinity rescue boot disk. It just lets you clear out the password, and then it boots directly to windows with no password prompt.

oh....

and no gay porn. Mostly latina girls.
