Kemeko DX

The first 2 episodes of this series (http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=5578) were surprisingly funny and sometimes quite crazy/potty and I really
had to laugh very hard at this (EP02 13:26 - 15:11 dialogue and especially sound).
So I think it's worth a try if you like some fun after being stressed by the Chaos;Head paranoia:

The high-school student Sanpeita dreamed he was engaged to a beautiful girl. Then one morning, a strange homely girl suddenly breaks through a wall in his bedroom to tell him that she is his bride and that her name is Kemeko. In order to escape, Sanpeita fled his house and went to school, but Kemeko follows. And things got only stranger when Sanpeita was targeted by something that looks like a rice cooker on the school's rooftop. As Sanpeita and his childhood friend Izumi were being attacked, strange little Kemeko intervenes to save them both. Just who is Kemeko? Someone who claims to be Sanpeita's new steel bride!?

Sanpeita is surprised to learn that Kemeko is really a girl-style powered-combat-suit and that the pilot is a cute girl. A heavily armed and violent girl perhaps, but still very cute.

So, can you tell me what is different between this anime and all the thousands or so other animes of the same kind? (Sudden girlfriend appearance).

Kemeko, the mobile suit, is really annoying and too ugly for me to handle (intentionally so).

It's like a really absurd spin on the suddlenly-girlfriend subset of ecchi. The series is weird to a fault. There seems to be a similar sort of Medical Mechanica (from FLCL) conspiracy going on as well. I guess you could say this is a Mecha/Excel Saga/FLCL suddenly-girlfriend type of series.
