as for her stone powers, maybe she's using Haki to amplify her normal 'noro-noro' slowing beam? or maybe Luffy has some sort of logia-like passive defense?

Well, up till now (even if Oda denies the 'romance' on One Piece) the only woman who has made Luffy react has been Nami, both times in Alabastra (Mr2's clonning and at the bath).

Other than that... Luffy has never reacted to a woman, so my guess is that he is just not interested. Remember how he told off slim-Alvida. I don't think this is a Logia defense, since Boa would be useless against any Logia type Devil User.

Maybe it's just some lame rubber property again. But, it should be able to be petrified, since he did get frozen by Aokiji.

I'd really hate to make a dragon ball reference but it's the only similar situation i can recall.

When Goku went to meet Baba for the first time for a divination to try and find the last dragon ball, he had to do a series of trial or pay a ridiculous fee. The 3rd or 4th battle that took place (i can't remember) Goku had to fight some sort of demon that had the ability to amplify any sort of negative feeling inside a person heart and make them explode and Goku was immune because his heart was pure.


Boa beam seems to use a person's lust and turn them into stone that way. Luffy isn't lustful, his only fault is his obsession with eating. I can see why Boa is a shichibukai since her ability would be incredibly effective against almost everybody, but Luffy is a rare case so it is plausible for him to win against her (kinda like how his rubber ability allow him to be able to fight against Enel, who is actually much stronger than luffy at the time).

Anyway, I think it goes without saying that this haki is going to become Luffy's next learned ability. Then he will be able to kick Sentoumaru's ass the next time they fight.

Something makes me think Boa might fall for Luffy, or atleast follow him around a bit. Something about attaining the unattainable since her beauty doesn't affect him. That is, if Luffy manages to beat the sisters, which he might with high probability.

Oda built up Buggy and Alvida, and then didn't use them since Loguetown. I wonder how they're going to contribute to the series.

Cant wait to see luffy own the two sisters. I hope we get to see more of luffy's past. He seems to have seen an interesting amount of stuff while probably training with his grandpa. Garp probably showed him alot while he was training him to be a marine. Too bad luffy is airheaded he probably was already more than prepared for the grand line than we think.
