(and actually, I don't see a reason for hiding your IP either, that's why I'm asking myself why I should hide it?)

well most tools don't hide your IP (peer guardian does not for example), it simply doesn't allow communication with servers on the black list, but your IP is still visible.

it's only usefull against data collection and it might allow you to dl faster (because you don't have to connect with all the servers)

That one doesn't, but Torrentprivacy supposedly does. I haven't even heard of the rest of them.

Nah, I've only heard the name, and did some googling when I saw this thread. I don't need it. Last time I heard, Australian ISPs weren't very co-operative with the Copyright industries. :D
