Off the top of my head, Tatsunoko did Battle of the Planets and Samurai Pizza Cats, what else?
I've been hoping for an addition to the "Vs Capcom" games for a while. Maybe this game has been common knowledge for ages, but this is the first I've heard of it.

We really need some new fighting games, hopefully this will be out soonish. I'm already looking forward to SC4 but this will do nicely also. The art style looks pretty amazing and the animation seems beautifully smooth.

I've only just heard about this so I'm yet to find out which systems it will be on, but you can probably assume Ps3 and X360.

Its Arcade in Japan for now. There has been no announcement for a console release.
The first screens depicted Ryu vs the eagle-boy of Gatchaman (G Force in America if I am not mistaken).

Dunno about this crossover, but if they make it good like their previous ones I won't complain. (Glares at Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe)

Oh... Batsu from Rival Schools is there... hopefully they will revive that franchise one day...

The first stuff was revealed like 2 months ago, when it was announced, and yeah its pretty mindboggling, but anyway for what tatsunoko did:

gatchaman, casshern, neon genesis, speed racer, teknoman, karas, soultaker, generator gawl, samurai pizza cats etc...

and it seems like every game/anime gets 1 representative from the series.

Ah, so it's just arcades for now with no announced console release? Damn...

Yeah, I thought I might be a couple of months behind on this news. But still, it looks damned awesome and I've got my fingers crossed for a console port soon.

Well i guess everybody who has been following this game knows it has been confirmed for the Wii for some time now ( a ps3 really is still very possible), but now we finally get confirmation for...... KARAS, awesomeness.

Also since the last post, morrigan, soki ( onimusha), megaman, bob in the bottle, devilman peeps, karas and PTX-40A ( the main mech from lost planet) have been confirmed.
Here is the latest trailer showing them all, and some awesome anime intro:

Also, if you watch closely, this trailer shows all of the names in japanese, but i've seen another trailer ( this one http://gt.tv/player/usermovies/273756.html ) where all the names are in full english. Released in US/EU aswell?

And I thought DC vs MK was a weird matchup. Karas does look pretty badass in that fighter though.

New chars for the Wii version announced at TGS 08. Jun from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman and Roll from the classic Mega Man games.

That's weird, i thought capcom said only 1 character per series, though megaman and roll are ok since they are from technically different series, but jun and ken are both from gatchaman >_>

Maybe they only meant that for the Arcade version. These new chars are exclusive to the Wii console version.

karas 7 hit > arial rave 13 hit > tag out ryu air rave 17hit> ryu hadoken 18 hit> ryu shinkuu hadoken 33 hit combo ;P
equals
bliss.

This game is pretty great ( and confirms the utter badass of controlling KARAS), anyone else get it yet?

darkshadow, what control style are you using to play it? Classic controller, Gamecube controller, or Wiimote + Nunchuck? Also, just how much of the text is in Japanese?

Gamecube, the wiimote doesnt work if you have a gc controller plugged in port 1.
And a lot of the text is in japanese, like the dialogs after victories or the ending sequences.
The main menu is in japanese aswell, but its completely katakana + the character on the left kinda says what mode it is if you highlight it, but if you know some katakana you should be fine.
the options/pause menu are completely english though ;).
I think english text for at least character names are buried somewhere deep in the game, since early footage of the game showed fully english names.

I couldn't really care for frank west, and this game was dead to me.....until I saw Teknoman fucking blade. I just got really interested in this release again.

I'm still indifferent about getting the US release, since I find the JPN release far superior.
It's just that joe the condor is so fucking badass, that I'm still not sure wether to get it or not.

How is the japanese release superior?

Music is a big thing for me.

They changed the music?

And what about all the new characters? Not even that compensates it?

They removed all the character themes that Cross Generations of Heroes had. The JP and US versions of Ultimate All-Stars, both have the new music.

Joe the condor is badass as fuck, but I didn't like how teknoman blade controlled, so he was a bit of a let down, I was expecting a second Karas :(.
The extra char's might be good but I only really liked Karas, batsu, polymar and ryu/morrigan, and now ofcourse Joe the condor.

But the thing is the game had not only all the awesome theme songs, it also had this genius system of switching theme song when a character gets switched during battle.
They took out those 2 things, and I was done with the US release.

Then I got to play a round with Joe the condor...... so yeah he kinda put me back on the fence wether or not to get it. I guess you just have to watch some vids of either versions and then just decide for yourself.

Im still undecided whether to buy it or not.
Of course, even if the removed themes are awesome, the fact that I can't play the Japanese version is a big eye-opener for me.

Also, I was dissapointed only one Rival School character made it to the rooster. I wanted either Hinata or Akira. Rival Schools has always been my top fighting game. And I still hate the fact I don't own Project Justice.
