The raw is choppy as hell in my VLC player, and keeps timing out.

I'll just have to wait for the hard-sub

Try Media Player Classic
It ran smoothly for me (and my pc is 7 years old). Or do wait for the hardsub as you say =/

Doesnt work with Bsplayer and its lagfest with VLC. MPC works but I never really figured out how to use subtitles in it.

Easy.
Name the srt or ass file exactly the same as the video file.
example.avi
example.ass

and just play the video file... MPC will play the subs alone (having CCCP installed of course)

I'm a little confused though...

I coulda sworn Crocus said that Laboon's crew left the grand line rather than dieing.

But now turns out they really did die.

Is that a plot hole or an anime fuckup or a misrememberence by me?

How would Crocus know anyway? He was an old geezer living at the very entrance of the Grand Line. Maybe that was just his guess. That is, if you remember correctly. I don't recall at all what he said...

And then Zoro said something to the effect of "That was 50 years ago, don't you get it? They died on the Grand Line."

And then Crocus was all "Thats not it, afterwards, they fled the Grand Line".

I did realize something from last week though. We know from Oz that zombies don't get their shadow's devils fruit powers. Which means Absalom's invisibility isn't from a devils fruit. Interesting.

Or...it could mean that Absalom is not a zombie :]

He has the invisibility and the fire power and does he also have some telekinetic power or was it still the same fire related one? Maybe he's a zombie made out of a couple of devil fruit user corpses.
