the new sh!t from Nobuyuki Anzai (Flame of Recca, MAR), so it's bound to be a good shonen series.


Spoilers for the first two chapters (will become series summary later on):
Three friends (the goth, the cute genius, and the typical shonen) that are completly 'failing' at romance, are approched by a cutesy girl, who tells them they're aliens from 'Polaris', the most important planet in the universe, and one of them is a prince, and the two others are decoys.
the prince is cursed to be hated by women of this planet to prevent him from spoiling out new children, the other two are just hated by chance. instead of dating human girls, the aliens have spread 12 alien girls in earth, and the prince must return to his planet with one of the girls.
and then, some bad guys appear, but they follow the 12 animal from the chinse calender, and they are hunting for the prince, using all sorts of power and anime cliche's.

so far, it looks like it's about to be a tournament arc somewhere along the lines, and a lot of fanservice. at least they don't all seem like complete idiots when it comes down to romance..

I was going to try this out the other day, but haven't gotten the chance yet. Should at the least be an alright shounen series, so I'll surely give it a try soon.

Anzai Nobuyuki didn't write Psychic Academy. Katsu Aki (Love Lucky, Futari Ecchi) did, and his art style is fairly distinctive. Not really a big deal, but I thought I'd mention that.

I still like Anzai Nobuyuki, and it sounds interesting, I'll give it a shot.

the story is still not going anywhere,except that some charecters are semi-crazy, and the others are semi-human.
it's still a good read, so read it.

When you read the story for the elements such as the comedy rather than trying to follow the actual story.

Manga like Ranma 1/2 story really doesn't progress anymore than simply adding new characters while keeping to the same general plot yet it manage to reach 34 volume and was quite an enjoyable read in my opinion.

edit: 16 out as well, 8 recca dragons, 8 powergems in Mar, and now this, 5 dolls?
which either means the story is going to be shorter, or Ichimatsu has a three hidden tools.

so, we've got 4 princes, 12 girls, 12 bodyguards, and the new big bang zero guys (who probably have their champions as well) ... that's a whole lot of characters.
however, I think this arc is going to be short (in-story time, not more than a month). It doesn't seem like anyone will go through a training montage..
goth-boy ability is kinda sweet, a lot of place for original thinking.

edit: 023 & 24 are also out, you don't care, but they aren't stupid, and so far, the story is much less retarded than Mar.

anyways, nobuyzaki finally hit the mark, after the colossal shit that MAR was, at least this Madougu fest looks interesting, despite the usual shortcomings of this kind of stories.

To be fair, MAR had some potential in the very beginning,it could've been good if he had been more creative with the story.

Anyways, this manga has been ok so far. The main character so far is way more annoying than Ginta or Recca but i'm waiting to see if he get better.

Just read the 34 chapters... and I'm enjoying it. I have to say, the first portion of the series I thought this sucked badly. If it weren't for the comments here I would've given up quite early, but I stuck with it.

Anyways, are you guys following the SnoopyCool releases? Or are you getting whatever version is out? I'm up to date with Snoopy, but if you guys are going to read whatever version comes out first I'll do the same to keep up... I'm fine either way.

While we're at it, what's the real title of the manga? I'm seeing MIXiM★11 a lot.

Well, the title was renamed in the issue 33 of 2008 from the original MiXiM♀12 to MIXIM☆11, so that might have something do with it.

Anyway, these last few chapters have been great so far with Ichimatsu trying to defend everyone he can and his "rivals" coming in to save his butt. There seems to be an increasing number of factions that show up like Shadow Matter and Big Bang, but oh well, the more the merrier.
