Naruto Shippuuden Movie: Kizuna

The official Japanese website for the Naruto Shippūden: Kizuna film is streaming its first trailer. The Kizuna (Bonds) film will still star the title ninja character Naruto but will also feature Sasuke, the longtime rival and occasional ally of Naruto. This is the second film based on the Shippuden revamp of the series, and it will open in Japan on August 2.

Plot Summary: When a mysterious group of Shinobi make a surprise attack on Konoha, the village is left in ruins. Only then does it becomes apparent that another shinobi world war could become a reality. Meanwhile, Sasuke who left Konoha to avenge his clan by killing his brother Itachi, appears for a second time in front of his friends.

What the hell is that? The trailer makes it appear as if Naruto and Sasuke will work in cooperation to defeat an enemy, or something. Now, I haven't read the manga but somehow I haven't got from the anime the kind of impression that something like that would be likely to happen any time soon. I can't avoid the feeling of this being pure milking of both the Naruto and Sasuke fanboys and girls...

Hopefully I'm totally wrong.

Meh, what do you expect these anime movies are usually just fanfare. They usually have nothing to do with any storyline and are just made up. But, I have to say having them work together is totally farfetched at this point in time that I find it preposterous.
