sry for opening 2 topics in such a short time-period, but it seems impossible for me to find a healthy torrent for this anime
i just watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkVYHUMCCwc and thought this anime must be fun... but all i can find is a torrent from isohunt [ayu-subs] which isn't very good :(
only ~20kb/s
is there a better one out there? i tried different sites alrdy (miniova piratebay etc)
i get the feeling that the torrent will disappear before i've finished downloading it.

Boxtorrents seems to have 5-7 seeds for the series, which could mean slow speed but not necessarily. Though your Isohunt torrent might include Boxtorrents' tracker.
Unless you find some archive bot serving it, you might just need to be patient. I have downloaded some pesky stuff taking a couple of hundreds of hours to finish, so it's not like it would be impossible.

hmmm do i have to register first to use their tracker Oo? because i can't find it.

Hmm... I do believe you need to be registered to search torrents there, yes. Or at least it used to be so. I have been a member a number of years so I haven't really paid attention. But in any case it's worth it to register. It's like an integral part of being an anime fan to be a Boxtorrents member...

i remember that they had limited amount of users... i tried to register there a year ago or so, but couldn't do so because it said something like "max users reached"... well it works now and it says i get a mail in the next 24 hours.
edit: btw i've got a question Rozen Maiden has 2 seasons? and they are BOTH ~2,7gb big?
i get the feeling that i m downloading the same thing twice.. one is called "traeumend" (dreaming) and one simply Rozen Maiden

Rozen maiden Traumend has 7 seeds here
http://www.mininova.org/tor/272697
But you should get some more if you add these trackers(for traumend)

btw how do i add trackers?
all i did so far was -> copy&paste them into the tracker list
http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/5118/neubitmap3zy9.jpg
and then right click on the torrent and ->
http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/3406/neubitmap2wg9.jpg
(its german for actualize tracker or update tracker)
but what happens if the same tracker is listed in there twice? will it bug then? or does the programm simply ignore it then.
edit: well my download for träumend just got up to 200kb/s, so i guess i did it right but i wonder why it still tells me 7(11) seeds (like before) and not the new number
weeeeh, i wanted to restart my computer because i didn't shut it down for a whole day but now i m scared if i do so, i won't get that download speed again ^^
btw thx 2 you guys.
i guess i have to wait for the download of thefirst season of Rozen Maiden to finish anyways :P i want to see that "desu desu" girl :(

Max upload speed 15 kB/s? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Here you have been whining you get only 20 down and yet you aren't ready to upload more than 15 at the same time?

15 kb for each torrent will lead to ~60 kb most of a time in my situation.
and during nighttime i raise it to unlimited (well thats not true ~40 at max but thats all i can spare without slowing the download)
i've got 0,6 rating @ rozen maiden and 0,4 with Träumend right now (a bit more in both torrents)
910 MB uploaded on each torrent -> nearly 2GB
i try to upload 50% of what i download
i m @ 53% and 83% right now, so no i m not ashamed to tell you the truth.
so when i m finished downloading i will have something around 2,7gb uploaded (which is exactly 50%)... i know many people say get a 1.0 rate, but i don't care... i think 0,5 is good enough
i don't know why the speed test tells me that i can upload 300kb/s because as soon as i get ~50kb/s my download speed is around ~60% slower than usual.

Some of us have bandwidth limit you know... We can't just go and waste it all on upload alone.
Heck, mine is even worst, It's only 10kb/s for all torrents.

well i don't have a limit though i could upload as much as i want... its just that i download while i m playing WoW and if i set it to unlimited i get 2000 ping or so :/
btw do you set your max upload to 200 if you are downloading something with 200 kbs kraco? i think not... i bet its around ~40 or 50
compared to your rate then, mine is even better. 20kbs DL 15 upl -> 75%
200kbs DL 50 upl -> 25%
so i deserve something like 60kbs (download)^^

I always limit my upload to the exact same as my download. And unfortunately I can't torrent at 200 ever. My ISP apparently hates torrents and so my up and downspeeds are limited to around 60-85 all the time. If I go above that fuzzy limit, my net connection starts to have micro breaks lasting a few seconds or so. That's enough to often ping me out in irc, which is highly annoying and thus forces those limits in practice. But even so, I always keep the same up and down limits.
Currently my utorrent all time ratio is 1.343 (with quite a lot indeed up and downloaded).

wow the only time i had such a ratio was black lagoon and some minami-ke episodes because i forgot to delete them a whole week long
(well black lagoon had a ~2.1 ratio then :P)
well but still, i wouldn't call myself a leecher.. if i get a high download speed ~120kbs for example i raise my upload too, but not 1:1
as i said ~50% if possible and that only on low-seeder torrents.. i don't think i have to seed for the newest naruto episodes and so on.
btw where can you see the all-time ratio on uTorrent?

Help / Show Statistics (or whatever it might be in English, not to mention in German; I use Finnish in my utorrent installation).
I think my morals might be partly due to Boxtorrents. It monitors your share ratio and if it gets bad (below one), you will face consequences as a member. Having learned to keep the ratio above one over there (I actually have over 1.5 at Boxtorrents), I usually do it with all torrents, not only with those from Boxtorrents. The exceptions are some uber popular torrents with insane amounts of seeders. I might not bother to seed those to over one always.

hmmm i just got the mail from boxtorrents and i have an account now
they've got the ayu subs too, these are the same right?
i downloaded it so i could extract the tracker from it and copy&paste it into the torrent from miniova.org
does this work? because i think the files are exactly the same. but normally uTorrent asks me "this torrent alrdy exist, do you wish to load the trackers?" ... however it didn't happen now. and it he tried to download it again (from 0%)

Wow.. my ratio is 0.042... I think it was reset when the new version of Utorrent came out, because there's no way I only downloaded 119Gb...
Well, if the files are the same, and it's the same folder, you could try to Force Check. If it works, it should pick up from where the Mininova one was at.

Ayu was my version of choice for all the series.

isn't it possible to do it the other way around? maybe to fuse it together?
i don't want to take the risk and start all over again

Do what I do... forget about speed, as long as you know that ít has seeds and it'll get downloaded completely. Find something else to watch in the meantime, and it won't bother much...
I don't know what kind of settings you have in your torrent program, but if you tell it not to download and just verify the files to see what it recognizes, it shouldn't be that much of a risk if a risk at all.

well its not like it will take long anyways (its finished tomorrow), but i wanted to know it for the future...
i can't find an option which says "do not download, check files" or something like that, but the files are 100% the same
same name, even with the [1241sewv3] (random letterss) behind one of the episodes and exactly same size...
and i wanted to upload for boxtorrent after i finished downloading it ^^
i use uTorrent 1.6.1

Just because the filenames are the same doesn't mean that the files are the same. For example, one torrent could've a file corrupted... but highly unlikely.
What you would want to do, is start the torrent and quickly stop it... then you can force it to check the files.... that way you can check without downloading anything.
But when you start a torrent in uTorrent, there should be a check box that says something like "Start torrent"... uncheck that box and the torrent wont start.

ya i did that...before
but it just adds another torrent into the list which is: "stopped" and @ 0.00%
the other one keeps going on like before...as if it was downloading something totally different.

Stop both torrents. Then right-click the new torrent that you want to use, and click on Force Check. It's not wise nor recommended to have two torrents running at the same time downloading to the same file.

its fine now, call me stupid/cunt whatever i just realized that i gave it the wrong folder... i wanted it to save the series into the season 2 folder, thats why it didn't continue from 74% but 0%
