It seems last seasons obsession with this genre isn't going away, but with few other alternatives for ecchi I guess this will have to do.

I've read all the scanlated chapters awhile back, there's 6 I believe. The art style is so different from the manga. I guess this'll have to replace KimiAru.

Do not say such things! Nothing could ever replace KimiAru, only remind us of its awesomeness...

Anyway, I didn't think the characters would be quite so loli looking, I'm not going to be able to get much ecchi satisfaction like this but it is quite funny and looks like it should be able to stay that way.

My major complaint is starting us off in the middle. They kept showing all these characters and naming practically none of them. I have no idea who any of the characters are, outside of the main four (Kota, Chizuru, Asahina, and Tayura).

The half-recognized voices of the cast are driving me insane, but I can't check any of them because they never introduce anyone! You have to guess from very few uses of names. Horribly distracting.

Other than that, I enjoyed it. Looks like there are all kinds of yokai in the school, and I kind of like the simplistic art style once in a while.

EDIT: It isn't like lots of series don't start off in the middle. But here, they start us off as if we are supposed to know all these characters, and then fail to even give a really proper notice that the second half is all flashback. If you weren't paying attention during that one line, you wouldn't even have a clue. The transition was in a very bad spot as well.

Kouta is just walking down the hallway mentions it reminds him of some time ago and nonchalantly enters the music room. Only...now it's a flashback.

The only reason I know that at all is from reading the first couple chapters of the manga.

The way they presented it makes it look like Kouta has known her for a long time, and only now she reveals who she is. Which is completely the opposite of how it is explained in those first chapters (Chizuru confessing immediately after he transfers).

Tayura was better looking and way cooler in the manga like the male idol of the school and not to mention a lot of other differences. The plot seems almost completely different as well.

I've never read the manga so I get the benefit of enjoying it at face value, it's fun, and epic in its own way so I'll keep watching.

I don't like kiddie main characters that are liked for no reason aside from being cute. Still, I'll give this a shot, at least until it turns too shota for me. The amount of fanservice in the first episode definitely affected my decision to be patient on this one.

The amount of fanservice in the first episode definitely affected my decision to be patient on this one.

I was ready to drop this after five minutes into the episode but towards the end the fanservice and ecchi levels clearly exceeding normal levels affected my judgement. I might have a look at subsequent releases. Although it annoys me all the time how Kouta sounds so much like a girl. I wish they would use more males as voice actors for males... But I guess they want him to sound like a real young shota boy.

Wow this thing is epically dirty I`'m not quite sure what to do with it at this point but if your watching it because of ecchi levels your going to love this episode for sure.

This series is officially crazy. Nine seconds out of ten are used for something ecchi and the remaining one is used to pave the way for the next ecchi scene. Also, this often seems to have similar momentum to series like Magikano. While this is not so all around breathtakingly crazy, it has the same kind of relentless wackiness going on on its own narrower sector. Every possible scene will end up with boobs if not more.

It's good to have a series like this in a season. I hope this can keep up the speed and spirit till the end.

Loss of V for the main male lead in T minus 3 episodes :) lol possibly with the level of Ecchi in this series.

Very light hearted series indeed. Can't wait for episode 3.

The third test to measure Kouta's stamina:

Episode 3 h264 - Ayako (http://a.scarywater.net/ayako/%5BAyako%5D_Kanokon_-_03_%5B704x396%5D%5BH264%5D%5B09DA86C0%5D.mkv.torr ent)

Edit: Less ecchi in this episode but a little more competition between the fox and the wolf. Yet the very last scene, which was ecchi alright, was jolly good. A series like this certainly deserves no deeper thinking or speculations but I've to say Kouta is an interesting character as he tries his hardest to appear like the good (loser) center-of-a-harem students in any run-of-the-mill ecchi series yet it's quite clear what he really would like to do if no such image restrictions were in place. I hope that aspect gets stronger in the future and it won't be frozen at its current level for the duration of the whole series.

Chizuru is by far the most insatiable anime female I've ever seen. And damn Ayako Kawasumi is doing excellent work voice acting her. Hard to believe we are talking about the same voice actor who voiced the serene Saber...

Loved the Spirit Bomb/Rasengan of Love they just randomly summoned upon joining. But it's going to be hard to top the epicness of the end of episode 3. Kouta may act all bashful and embarassed but he was the one who chose to spank her...repeatedly.

I wish the animation on this show didn't suck so much though. It'd be that much easier to appreciate ecchi. They seem to be trying to hint at a plot but I really hope one doenn't actually materialize, it would just distract from the fanservice.

Kouta may act all bashful and embarassed but he was the one who chose to spank her...repeatedly.

This series would be worthless if there wasn't any potential for Kouta to actually give in to the temptation. If he was a total loser or a wooden dolt and it was purely Chizuru who was interested the unilaterality would render it all meaningless. Now there's always the slight chance Kouta decides to go forward (before they are interrupted). That basically makes Kanokon also different from oh-so-many other series with pure boy scouts as main characters.

Episode 5 - Ayako (http://a.scarywater.net/ayako/kk05h264.torrent)

Peculiar. This episode was clearly more about plot progression than ecchi. I didn't think this series even had a bigger plot, but the end of this ep suggested otherwise. I wonder if Kouta and Chizuru are going to face some trials.

Quite a regular episode but it had a few good scenes. It was disappointing, though, in the sense that even though they were alone, Kouta didn't relent at all. In the past he has been even ready to have sex in the middle of a street, yet now he fought back at his very home. That's just sad and degenerative to the story.

And TheBladeChild, it's Ayako, not Ayu.

Haha, the ecchi doesn't play games.

Heart-shaped nipples don't leave much to the imagination I have to say. But I can't complain!

I'm glad the ecchiness is back, and with style. The previous ep was somewhat more silent in that respect. Also, it looks like things might really move forward (as much as they can in a series like this) with the invitation to visit Chizuru's home.

It was also good that this time Kouta didn't even protest too much when it was starting to turn into a serious threesome.

#8 is a pretty meh episode all in all, but I felt #9 returned to the roots of this series. I doubt this thing has any bigger plot but it's still good one spanning at least two eps started in #9, and employed the uber poor, unlucky twins who haven't really had that prominent role in the series aside from being in the background eating their bread crumbs.

A weird side effect for a poison in any case.
