I don't know about you guys, but I'm a huge fan of the movie The Saint. With that said, there's a tv movie being made as a possible pilot for a new series based on this. It will probably starr James Purefoy, who played Mark Anthony in the series Rome. I think he was really really good in it, so hopefully he'll be good here.

James Purefoy — Rome's very own Mark Antony — is in talks to follow in the deft footsteps of Roger Moore (and, well, Val Kilmer) and play international thief Simon Templar in a new and contemporary adaptation of The Saint. According to the Reporter, producers Barry Levinson, Tom Fontana and Bill Macdonald, writer Jorge Zamacona, and Moore himself are all involved in the project, with Levinson set to direct a two-hour TV-movie/backdoor pilot.

A new incarnation of The Saint was on TNT's development slate for 2007, yet never came to be. It now is being produced independently, and then will be shopped to networks.

I saw the 60s TV series of The Saint with Roger Moore before seeing the Movie of The Saint. When I saw The Saint movie, I was disappointed, the movie was excellent, story, characters, etc etc.

I expected it to be more like the 60s TV Series.

I hope this new TV series, follows the same as the 60s. :)
