Aye, welcome indeed. Be sure to keep posting. The general anime is filled with threads about current shows and shows that were current once (like they all were, I suppose). It's an excellent way to find new series to watch to just browse the threads and have a look at the first posts to see the comments. Also, there are a couple of threads filled with series suggestions.

Just make sure Elfen Lied is not the first anime series your kids are going to see...

I'm a new member to the forum and site and i'm also a huge naruto fan. Can't believe the manga and anime have gone on for so many episodes, guess i've gotten used to short anime but thats the best thing about Naruto. It can take its time and give supporting characters their own episodes to shine while allowing the fans to still enjoy the anime. I was, or shall I say I am, at all the filler episodes. assassin, you never know they might get interesting in the site, you never know. Did you even see the post count on one of my original accounts ( I remember having more post but that doesn't matter). This is the 3rd time I joined. Atleast that is what i think.

I was a lurker a long time before and in some cases I still am.

Don't be quick to judge all of them. I do agree with you. But look at it from their perspective what is there really to keep them here. Most of us joined the community because of Naruto and later on some join for Bleach. You and I both know there is alot more to to site than this, but they are one of the more outstanding ones.

There isn't much encouragement from neither of those.

A quote tag quote takes quite a lot of space, if added there in addition to an image, which might be the reason why it could have been disabled for ordinary mortals.

And no, of course I don't mind, if you feel I've said something so splendid (if it is something good I've said, and not something bad, which happens from time to time as well). If you can't get quote tags working, you could type it irc style, or just literature style.

Hi my name is Zati (changed name from dewey) I have been a long time Gotwoot forum reader but been really busy with school and work but I dunno i just liked to read and watch what you guys say and never registered until now when I just suddenly decided to register.

I always checked this forum frequently because I liked looking at everyones opinions and what they had to say. 12 volumes and it's finished in Japan. At last check, our translator already translated about halfway up to v9. Current scanlations are up to v7. (It's all up to the editors now...)

I haven't been watching much (current) anime this year. I read the Naruto and Bleach mangas weekly, and the only current anime that I've been keeping up with is NHK. The last few animes I watched were Great Teacher Onizuka, Blood+, and Hajime no Ippo. My favorite anime, as you can probably guess by my username, is Planetes. It's the most realistic space anime I've seen, and as an astronomer, that turns me on.

No, I don't live in Alaska anymore. Only around 150-200 people live in Arctic Village. They don't have internet, or much of anything there. The people in that area were nomadic indians, and mostly still live in the same fashion as they have for hundreds of generations. There's only one school with probably about 50 people in it if that helps put it into perspective.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I now reside in Greenland. I have tried living in warmer places, but anything above 0c just kills me.

Bioinformatics is an interdisciplinary field, combining biology and information science. Included is stuff like ... computational techniques for biochemistry, statistical and mathematical models for protein folding, genetics, and so on and so forth.

It's pretty neat, but, at least here it's a pretty damned challenging program because of the different threads that you have to pull together, and because it's an emerging field.

(my university offers one bioinformatics class at the undergrad level, co-offered as biology, stat and computer science, all of them are senior-level ... I dropped the class after a week, because I couldn't cram advanced bio and stat into my brain fast enough to make sense of the coursework).
