You haven't been here in a while, but it's no excuse when it's right at the top of the forums.

Production I.G won the rights to a live action Ghost in the Shell movie a while back. We could be seeing that in the future.

After the GiTS 2nd GIG there is the Solid State Society Movie which continues the series.

According to your taste try out these two:

Black Lagoon
Gungrave

A live action movie would only work with a good budget. It's that kind of a world it takes place in. And considering how much relevant information pretty much every line in all GitS productions contain, it would also require a really good script and decent actors, not to mention a director. I wouldn't mind if they got (a lot) of help from the USA.

Like one friend of mine (living and working in Japan atm) said to me when I asked about Japanese live action movies: "Japanese live action movies? There are such things?"

I'd actually love to see a live action...but the actors have to be amazing. ESPECIALLY Motoko.

Whut No.

I love Lucy and all but she's too cute for Motoko. Motoko's more bad ass.

And incredibly ridiculously hot and curves to die for.

Lucy Liu is way too tiny!

Hi, I was wondering if Anime-One ever did fansub Ghost in the Shell.

Occasionally, on opening www.gotwoot.net, you can see an opening image for Ghost in the Shell (#9).

I was wondering if this means that they did indeed sub the series, and if its available for download, or if it was pulled.

I'd be grateful for any answers.

Can't say I remember, but having a banner doesn't really mean anything. What I do remember is IG licensing the anime from the start and most subs quickly stopped after a cease order.

Merged with another random Ghost in the Shell thread.

And like Everon said, the images are from random series that have in common only the fact they are/were somewhat popular and thus recognizable. Doesn't mean AonE subbed them, though. Gotwoot is an AonE distro site but not AonE's site.

The actress will have to dress like Motoko too. Hehehe.

I thought DreamWorks was going to make it. And that it was going to be in 3D. I think they're going to do Ghost in the Shell, meaning the first movie based more off the manga, not the anima story plot line.

Steven Spielburg is going to make it, or something, I think. I remember hearing little snippets of it around last month or so.

---

Though.. if there's another season of GITS, I am so there >.>

Oh! If you've watched the 2 manga movies, the two seasons and the movie based off the anime, then.. I'd say Noir, I guess. I liked that one, but it starts off slow, but it has 26 episodes, exactly.

---

Also.. depending on what this is about, it could be picked up in one of these.

Are you sure parts of that info isn't mixed up with James Cameron's Battle Angel Alita movie (3D, main character is 100% CG)?

If they are making both, I'll look forward to both, but I'd rather see someone other than Spielberg do GiTS.

I'd be interested in sources if you have the time to find them.

I'm not sure about all the details, but they have a lot more articles out now than that little piece in Wikipedia a while back.

Here's one that talks more about the movie, or what's happening with it.

Ooh. April 14th, 2008. So it's kind of new, too.
