Project: Repeated Scene

I have some Wallpapers from this (whatever it is), but upon searching (Google, the forums, Wikipedia.... evertyhing) I found nothing other than a website... in Japanese.

Has anyone else heard anything about it? I would like to find out more, but until I can read Japanese... I'm left with nothing.

If you run http://www.project-rs.com/rs_origin.htm through altavista's translator site you'll get something readable. The grammer doesn't get rearranged so it'll be a PitA to glean all the information out but the summary of the story is all there.
