I stopped watching this when the fillers came out, could anyone tell me if they are over, and when to resume without watching those stupid things? also whats this new version of naruto i hear about?

The fillers ended when the new version started. Naruto Shippuden. It's a different series in the way that Dragonball Z is a different series than Dragonball. Continuation of the same manga, different name.

So if you looking to skip the filler, go to Naruto Shippuden episode 1 and go from there.

I would actually start on the last episode of the first series (220), especially the final couple of minutes.
