I watched earlier the Yuurisan-Mochi version and I've to say not a whole lot happened in it. These feel like fillers if anything.

This episode reminded me that I liked the skull guy from the flying fortress, but I can't remember much else about him other than dying with some Rainbow Sword technique and being someone who one-sidedly loved the first Flame Haired Hunter.

I think the love-square went something like Whilhelmina -> Raindbow Sword -> Flame Hunter -> Alastor.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the "S" OVAs were all going to be filler, and would lead up to a 3rd season of the TV series (which, I assume, will take off from the climax of the 2nd season).

I always knew that the S OVAs were for the "further developing of character relationships" or something along those lines, but I never bothered to find out whether this was filler, stuff in cannon, or simply little tidbits that were previously omitted in favour of the plot first series' plot.
