I do not know about anyone else on the boards, but I am a self proclaimed award show geek. I love following them and rooting for my favorite to win, somethings desperately and hopelessly. Which shows do you want to win? I'm just going to bold the winners in the major categories I think should win.

As much as I'd like to see South Park win for the WoW episode, I really would rather see Avatar: The Last Airbender get the recognition it so desperately deserves.

Truth be told, I don't really care about most of the other catagories, but I will echo the sentiment that Grey's Anatomy should not be the winner of Drama Series. I'd rather see Heroes take it the most, but I wouldn't be too irritated if House took it.

Hugh Laurie should probably take the Lead Actor in a Drama award, but then again it'll probably be James Gandolfini only because his show ended. I'd definitely would be disappointed if Mary-Louise Parker didn't win Lead Actress in a Comedy for Weeds, same for Minnie Driver in Lead Actress in a Drama for The Riches.

- my two cents on something I'll read the results of in the newspaper

My preferences (I'll leave out the ones I don't have a preference on)
-----
Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour) - Either Avatar or South Park

Outstanding Art Direction For A Single-camera Series - Heroes

Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series - Entourage

Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series - Studio 60 (The show was short lived, but they cast the hell out of the roles, just couldn't seem to find an audience)

Outstanding Comedy Series - Entourage or the Office

Outstanding Drama Series - House or Heroes, but I'm thinking the Sopranos will win

Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series - All good choices... I love Entourage, but if it doesn't win, the others are all good too.

Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series - John Goodman in Studio 60

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series - Monk (The way Shalhoub brings light to the guy's crazy actions is amazing)

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series - House, again though, Sopranos will probably win

Outstanding Original Music And Lyrics - Dick in a Box!

Outstanding Individual Performance In A Variety Or Music Program - Colbert or Stewart

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series - Jeremy Piven (Entourage, "Let's hug it out, Bitch!")

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series - Masi Oka

Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series - Conan, Colbert or Stewart

Outstanding Comedy Series - Entourage is certainly worthy of this, and I just love the show (ARI), but I think this is The Office's year.

Outstanding Drama Series - Not a huge surprise if Heroes wins. House and The Sopranos both have a good shot to win this too, all great shows. Grey's Anatomy is alright, yea I watched it, but I'm not really into it, only watched the first two seasons.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series - Steve Carell, all I got to say. Michael Scott!

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series - The favorites to win this are James Gandolfini or Hugh Laurie. James is a favorite, because The Sopranos is over, and he's been great in the series for a long time, so he deserves it, and can certainly win this. Enough said for Hugh Laurie, the guy is brilliant as House! Denis Leary is certainly an underdog to win this, but he's great as Tommy Gavin, still on my 3rd season of Rescue Me, and it's an awesome show. This category is tough, all of these guys are great, and of course, Jack Bauer!

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series - I don't watch any of these shows, except Weeds. So of course, Mary-Louise Parker!

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series - Tough, Tough. I watch all these ones, man. But gotta give it to Jeremy Piven! Ari Gold! "Let's hug it out, bitch," "Silence is fucking golden." I love Neil Patrick Harris as Barney though, "Legendary!" Dwight, and Drama are both great too. Sorry Alan, but I don't think you'll win this.

Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series - Elizabeth Perkins.
