Any news on price for this black Friday bundle?

Unless it's a great deal, I'll probably not wait and go ahead and get the Uncharted 3 bundle with 320GB PSP3 when it's released on 11/1/11.

Any news on price for this black Friday bundle?

It says $165 in savings, so everyone believes that it will be $249.99. No official price yet since it just leaked.

Meh, 250 is still a little steep.

In case this turns out to be a good deal, any import options? :/

You realise an imported PS3 would play no blu-rays from your region right?

...good point.

Why can't you make good points without sounding like an asshole though? :(

Wow, that is a good deal (great if you must), but I'm not sure if it'd be worth the trouble and headache to get up early, sit in traffic, wait in line, work your way through crowds, and ruin your day, to get this bundle. I waited in line for about 25 minutes at a Walmart on tax-free weekend (my mistake, didn't know it was tax-free weekend) and I barely made it out without having a melt down.

Walmart released their Black Friday Ad at Midnight and the PS3 Black Friday Bundle will be $199.96 there. Their BF sale starts at 10pm on Thanksgiving. Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Gears 3, and some other games will only be $28 as well. I'm gonna try and pick up a 360 since the GPU in mine overheated, which is causing me to see green artifacts on menus.

Playstation 3 160 GB Console w/ Bonus - $199.96
Xbox 360 4 GB Slim w/ Gears 3, 3 Month Live, & $50 Gift Card - $199.99 - Edit: This is online only.
Xbox 360 w/ Kinect & $50 Gift Card - $199.96
Xbox Live 3 Month Sub. Card - $12.00

Not true, my korean ps3 will play almost any blu-ray; most discs are released region free these days: http://regionfreemovies.com/. It just won't play out of region DVDs. And are those prices online as well?

Are you serious? You do realise US and korea have the same BD region (A) right?
Out of the 61 BD's I have only 22 are region free; most of them cause 75% of those are from a domestic publisher that so happen to release them region free, so no most discs aren't released region free these days; at all.

And are those prices online as well?

They were last year. Amazon will most likely match them as well. That's where I plan to order from.

Since I'm here, Best Buy released their Black Friday ad this morning. The PS3 Black Friday bundle is $199.99 there as well.

http://bfads.net/Ad/Best-Buy-2011

Assassin's Creed Revelations for $34.99 only 10 days after it's release and Need For Speed the Run for $29.99 10 days after it's release (they both come out on 11/15). Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, and Battlefield 3 will be $29.99 also. Hopefully Amazon matches Best Buy again like they did last year.

I said almost...I have played a few european blu-rays. Notice I said almost all the ones I had. And yes, I know they are both Region A. Wow, I am beginning to agree with Arch, which is scary.

Even if you say almost your situation is entirely different, you have a Region A player in a Region A area; that you have somehow procured bd's of a different region that didn't play is irrelevant.
Arch's situation would become having a Region A player in a Region B area...you see where I'm going with this right?
I may sound like an asshole, but that's only cause your comment wasn't thought out very well.

One does not exist, since there are examples where it's not possible for it to happen. (if you have a 4GB+ movie file, it won't move. Trophies will have to be redownloaded, to name a few).

Then wtf is the backup/restore option for?

I used that to transfer my data from my PHAT PS3 to my SLIM PS3

Technically you can download you data to an external HDD (that needs to be formatted at that moment)... then you replace the hdd on the PS3 with the new one and transfer the data from the external hdd to the new PS3 one... formatting again.

Then wtf is the backup/restore option for?

It's for backing up data, but it's not a complete backup.

It's mostly for saves and shit. The settings and the actual OS are located internally on some non-removable storage.

The 4GB limit is due to the fact that you have to connect an external HDD to the PS3 in order to back things up - and the PS3 can only read FAT32.

So what exactly gets backed up with that option? I need specifics >_>.

All users that currently exist + their images, videos, music, bookmarks, "terms" in on-screen keyboard and save data (without copy protection) + all installation files (not sure, as it's been a while since I used back-up). That's it.

Never tried it myself but that Plus cloud function supposedly lets you save copy-protected save data as well.

For specifics: http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/backuputility.html

I transferred data from one ps3 to another and everything passed through. Not sure if there are restrictions when backing to an external hdd though.

Been playing Black Ops 2. Does anybody else play? Feel free to add me on PSN Niquid_Litrogen. Yes I know its basically a rehash of previous CoD games but I enjoy playing it anyways :p

How's the gameplay and everything compared to previous COD titles? I only really liked COD4 and MW2 (to a lesser extent). I could consider this game later on, but unless it's pretty good/fun, I'll just stick with the new map packs for BF3 and save my cash.

I think all the CoD I have played on PS3 (MW1, MW2, BO1, BO2) all play the same. Just different maps, fancier UI, and different, but similar guns.

My 80 GB Original PS3 first editions or w.e only gets used to play PSone games. Not a bad upscale to an HDTV. Load times are like 20x faster, so I get to play everything on PS3 and I'll never need a memory card ever again. :P

So a few months ago my 40gb PS3 fat went all YLOD on me. I had it reflowed by my cousin and worked for about another three weeks until it stopped working on me again. I decided on grabbing a 250gb Uncharted 3 Bundle from Amazon for $219 along with Disgaea 4.

Edit: On another note, does anyone play Scott Pilgrim vs. The World? I just started and that game is a blast!

How is the online mode? I have the regular version that was free with Playstation Plus, but I never bothered to play it since I don't have the online dlc. I was playing the Simpsons and X-Men arcade games with these cats the other night, and they were saying the online mode in Scott Pilgrim wasn't worth getting. To them it was really laggy and unplayable.

I may just get it anyway, because I love playing beat 'em ups. I can't wait for Dragon's Crown to drop on August 6th, which is only eight days before my birthday. :)

I haven't tried it, but from what I've heard it does have some lag to it. That comes in the territory with all beat-em-ups going online, but it certainly isn't UNPLAYABLE like others have said. I feel Scott Pilgrim is a huge upgrade to Simpsons Arcade. I played Simpsons first before playing Scott Pilgrim and it felt like a huuuuuge leap forward once I played Scott Pilgrim.
