On the other hand, Y has the cold calculating harshness of someone you can only find on the intarweb. He'll prove you wrong, make fun of you, and make you feel even gayer then...well....him.

But due to Y's long absense and assertn's role as a mod, people will naturally know assertn more. I think on irc Y has the bigger e-genitalia, and not so virgin either. But on the forums assertn and his 'lols' take the cup.

For me, I don't recall too much silliness from Y, and have only seen his posts in these e-penis contest threads. While he does seem like kind of a dick, it might be just to garner votes.

Assertn seems like a pretty good guy, just with a penchant for sarcasm. He says a lot of the stuff I'm thinking, and seems to be able to post them eloquently enough where people don't accuse him of trolling or causing animosity for the sake of it.

So I'm abstaining from voting, unless Y keeps up being an a-hole.

I wonder at the sensibility of voting for someone based on past deeds. Y might have been a big dick back in the days, but I don't see much of him (on the forums anyway), whereas Assertn continues unchecked. People change after all, and Y might have hit puberty or finished his mid-life crisis, and might be a decent guy now. Same with mage vs Animeniax. How can you vote for q-bert who is tame and lifeless, when Animeniax is pissing in your cheerios here and now?

It'd be like giving the MVP to a former superstar who is now just a role player on his team. Doesn't make much sense.
