Zombie-Loan first episode speed-subbed by BSS:
http://www.no-sry.us/torrents/[BSS]ZOMBIE-LOAN%2001.mp4.torrent

Based on the manga by PEACH-PIT, serialised in G-Fantasy.

When a human is marked to die, a faint gray line that is invisible to most appears around their neck. As time passes, that ring becomes darker and darker, until it is eventually black, and that person dies. Kita Michiru has an unusual gift, she posses "Shinigami eyes," which allow her to see these rings. When Michiru notices that two of the boys in her Class, Akatsuki Chika and Tachibana Shito not only have rings, but that they`re jet black, they reveal to her that the were supposed to die in a tragic accident six months ago. With the help of the Zombie Loan loan office, they were given a second chance at life, should they be able to pay for their debt by doing the work of Shinigami and killing malicious zombies. They petition Michiru to assist them in their efforts, and she finds her everyday life changing dramatically.

...any other, more well known groups rumored to pick up this series? I'm interested, but I'd like to wait awhile for a different group, personally...

Haven't heard of any other group doing it. Maybe AnimeYoshi, but they aren't experienced. I'm gonna wait myself, I'm pretty sure someone else will pick it up soon enough.

There can never be too many zombies. I'll have a look at this, no matter how much the plot reminds of certain other series... But likewise I will also wait a little to see if a more recognizable group happens to take an active interest in this.

The intro song, and the intro song sucks hard. Anyways this show is pretty cliche, and makes no sense whatsoever. Animation is really iffy and it just seems like they're trying hard to make the anime seem badass and funny but they failing pretty miserably. Hopefully it'll get better and Michiru would stop being so annoying.

Episode 1 - AniYoshi (http://a.scarywater.net/animeyoshi/%5BAniYoshi%5D_Zombie-Loan_-_01v2_(1024x576_h264)_%5BC983B81D%5D.mkv.torrent)

I can't disgree too much with Animus here. The OP sucked really long noodles and the ED wasn't really much better, but of course those aren't the main points of a series. The show itself felt like it itself had a black ring around its neck - it was lackluster to put it simply. The only remeeding factor among the multitude of elements shamelessly copied from elsewhere was the fact Boys A and B at least weren't some feeble losers. They were somewhat badass. I hope they stay that way.

I guess I'll give this a few more chances.

Well, the girl was cute both with and without the glasses. And I'm curious to see how it'll play out whether she becomes a zombie or not. But yes, what a bad set of songs. And the music that played during the ep was so all over the place I actually noticed it, which I count as a bad thing.

BSS episode 2 (http://www.datorrents.com/download.asp?id=23460&name=%5BBSS%5D%20Zombie-Loan%20-%2002%20%5B8252EE48%5D.avi.torrent) is out.

They're pretty sub-par, as far as translation quality goes... you might be better off waiting for a different version, if you're a fan of ... err ... editing.

At least the ep got Shinji to pilot the fucking eva...

Without the vocals, I actually liked the OP, it has a nice beat to it. Not a lot of things explained in this episode here. Where did she get that money from? If she had that kind of inheritance and money from her parents, why couldn't she afford to give away 500 yen (about $5 USD) to Chika? Why did she risk her life saving Yumi-chan when they didn't have a close friendship? It seemed like they were just using Michiru to run their errands.

Aside from that, I really like the animation and style of the characters; they look similar to that of Ouran High School Host Club. I'd like it if they didn't really use jokese during a serious battle like that, it kind of ruins the mood.

Shinsen and Mishicorp have apparently entered the race...

[Shinsen-CORP] Zombie Loan 1 (http://bt.shinsen-subs.org/%5BShinsen-Corp%5D_ZOMBIE_LOAN_-_01_%5BA72F4A9A%5D.avi.torrent)

I don't think of Shinsen as particularly great, but they're certainly passable. I can't imagine them doing a worse job than BSS anyway :p.

She couldnt afford the 500 yen because she wasnt carrying it around at that point, and she probably didnt see the sense in it as well. She is the really irritating interfering nose-sticking type peace loving type, thats why she helped Yumi. All in all, I really hate that girl, but I dislike the two sterotypical main characters more.

That's a bit of an uninformed statement. I only read a handful of Zombie Loan chapters about a year ago before the group scanning it completely disappeared, but other than being faster paced (but still covering the majority of the material) the Zombie Loan anime has been a very faithful adaptation to the original. Black Cat completely butchered the manga it was based on, reorganized characters, plot, timeframe, and made the depth of several of the villains non-existent. It became a vapid shell of it's source.

Watching the anime, I remember reading the overwhelming majority of the scenes the same way. Chika and Shito are still moderately inept at their jobs, Michiru is still helplessly worthless as anything but bait. It's already been more faithful than DearS was to it's manga.

With the apparent introduction out of the way, the series is shaping up nicely. Two more girls are introduced in the next episode.

With the addition of Kana Ueda (always a plus for me) as Koyomi/Yomi, the series has improved a lot more for me. Yomi's Dead Man's Tongue ability is pretty creepy, adding to the zombie vibe the series is trying to project. Her yuri tendencies are another bonus since Michiru is still so timid.

It'll probably turn into a zombie of the week show until they get more clues about who else is making zombies, though obviously very savage ones. I'm not really expecting too much out of this series, so it'll be a nice brainless enjoyment.

I really enjoyed the Yuri scene in that one, but thats about all I enjoyed. At least with the introduction of Yomi, I have a character that I can like in this show.

Agreed, I was getting pretty bored until Yomi popped out and started her seduction attempt. I doubt that the situation will be fleshed out any though. It was probably just there to establish another reason Michiru is useful.

Im hoping for more scenes with Yomi and Michiru getting it on, but that would probably not happen considering this is shown on TV. Well, I guess scenes of the same level as the last episode are still very welcome.

I was hoping that this show would level up in action quality, but the way it is going, this may end up like a mediocre-to-bad just because of the animation.

Interesting explanation for the weird hand exchange thing they kept doing.

Is it just me or is there a hint of shounen-ai in this show?

Wow, just when I thought this show wasn't going to be much of anything they pull episode 6 out of nowhere. The first half was just shounen-ai hinting nonsense, but then after the break the ep gets totally serious and they talk about some farily deep stuff. The difference was like night and day. To be fair though, putting the crappy action and almost shounen-ai stuff in the same ep as the deep thought provoking part didn't flow that well at all, it was like watching two different episodes.

Next ep looks like the hot springs ep and Yomi should be making an appearance as well!

Doesn't anyone watch this series anymore?
well ep7 and 8 were really nice, yomi x kita in the hotspring was really well done, nothing over the top.
In ep 8 i really wonder who that guy was and what he exactly did to shito o_O

The hot spring arc is definitely one of the best... especially what Akatsuki said about not wanting to look at Kita's body when they broke into the female bath. XD

Just so you know, episode 12 will be DVD only, so it should come out some time during 2008.

I had no idea the series was going to be so short. With so little content and so many hanging threads it feels like the show was just an advertisement for the manga. However it was fairly entertaining, in that light action/comedy sort of way and there were lots of cute scenes with Michiru so I'll chock it up as an alright show.
