Hmm, this episode had two things going on.

In the first half it was a bunch more revealing stuff about the One Piece world. At this point, I just wanna call this whole stint back at Water 7 the "shit gets explained" arc.

So the Marines have ships that move in the calm, and have seastone bottoms that make them invisible to Sea Kings.

And there's a scientist named Vegapunk who invented making objects eat devil's fruits?

The second thing going on was that this was, really, the "happy ending" episode to the entire Water 7/Enies Lobby meta-arc.

What the heck, I already downloaded and watched 315

Now that I look around turns out it was a fake release but everything was perfect I'm so confused .

Uhhuh. Same here. I thought it was a legit release. But now that I had a look at Vegapunk's site, it's of course evident it was a bizarre fake. Strange times. Well, I guess I'll redownload it once they officially release it. Though with an episode like this, I doubt it'll make any huge difference.

So how was the fake episode 315? Vegapunks prerelease was rather nice episode to watch, lots of stuff revealed and and get to see the new ship and if we get a new crew member. Also we get some more shanks it looks like. Here's hoping fillers dont start soon but I have a bad feeling they will, at least naruto isn't filler and bleach may be back.

Arlong Park has 317 being a filler episode so we may get another Filler arc. Hopefully it's as good as G8. And about the fake release, nothing was wrong with it. Everything played right I did notice a couple typos but atleast it wasn't animal porn.

Ah, just caught up from the G-8 arc to where One Piece is now. Since there is talk of fillers, anyone know how far up ahead the manga is from the anime?

As for the ep, its was good to see Ao Kiji not acting like a brainless killing machine like Rob Lucci.

Overall it was a good arc, a bit drawn out at times. The revelation of who CP9 were was well paced.

I guess all that's left now is to pick a shipwright and head in to the New World. I reckon it will be either Franky or Paulie, since Iceberg has too many responsibilities to leave. Out of these two, I would prefer it to be Franky since he is funnier, but I think it is probably going to be Paulie as he has the least connections to sever if he has to leave.

It's definatly going to be Franky. He had a multiepisode flashback about his awful childhood where he had some loved ones die. That's automatic Strawhat membership.

True, that is a big sign in his favour. Plus, he is actually quite strong, and this quality would be needed in the coming arcs as the crew face no doubt even stronger opposition than before. I don't think that Paulie would be able to make the same grade as Luffy, Zoro and Sanji the way Franky can.

Another side note on the the arc. Its quite promising that Chopper has a form which is insanely powerful. I think we might see him researching how to control this form in the future, since if he can pull it out at will he would be an awesome fighting asset to the crew.

Nami's upgrade seems to make her quite powerful as well. Maybe not quite in the same league as the main fighters, but she can be extremely useful in what you could term 'crowd control'.

I think that Robin came out looking a bit weak in this arc. Granted she has the Kairoseki handcuffs for most of the arc, but she didn't quite have any flashy attacks like the others did. I think she will still prove to be an asset for the next big fight, but may need to get some sort of upgrade to continue in the future.

Finally Usopp. I think though his Sogeking form is quite funny while he is singing, he needs to get a serious power upgrade. That said the show is trying to focus on using the various strengths of all the members of the crew in order to overcome an enemy, and Usopp is pretty good at gadgetry. I think he should develop another weapon for himself, as his slingshot upgrade still seems pretty lame.

And I thought the story was going in to some real hack territory with those 'power levels' they came out with for the CP9. I hope they don't continue with that, as not knowing who exactly is the most powerful out of the crew keeps the show interesting. I think that Luffy and Zoro are pretty much evenly matched, and Sanji may need just a slight upgrade to join the other two.

Edit: How come the HD and SD releases from Vegapunk have different subs?
