Wow, next to nothing notable happened this chapter, except Ichigo surviving a Cero head on.

Hmmm... Kind of a waste of a chapter, huh? Nothing really happened, not in the fighting or in the dialogue.

yeah, they stopped in the middle of the start of what i was waiting for: the fight, when i reached the last page, i was like "wtf???"

I disagree. I think that they really needed this chapter. As much as they've been building up to this fight, it would really be pretty anticlimactic if they just launched right in without letting both fighters make their obligatory speeches and exchange witty banter. After all, this set-up for a fight is characteristic of most shonen stories and serves an important function in terms of pacing and suspense.

Also, I really like how Grimmjow switched hands for the cero, even though he had to break the cardinal rule of swordsmanship to do it.

I thought it was a waste to have Ichigo living (a few chapters back) where the Hollow version of him could take him over. Anyway, since they're outside under the sky, doesn't Aizen have full surveillance over them?

That was a lie...you know... so Rukia would walk into the darkness...
